Report No: TGE15051-1 24/03/2015 1. Introduction Total Geotechnics has been engaged by Frostdale Civil Contractors on the 1 st December 2014, to provide Level 1 Geotechnical Supervision on 46-48 Muller Street, Redland Bay Project (Refer Appendix 1 Site Plans & Diagrams and Appendix 3 Site Photographs). This Level 1 report presents the results of supervision activities, compaction and moisture control, material placement and laboratory testing for ground works undertaken at 46-48 Frostdale Civil Contractors. This report covers construction activities carried out from the 1 st December to 18 th December 2014. 2. Scope of Works The scope of works involved the placement of On-site General Fill. Fill Material was placed in Level one fill areas, in accordance with AS 3798-2007, Guidelines on earthworks for commercial and residential developments. The level of FILL to be placed is less than 5m as per AS3798 Section 1.1. It has been a requirement of the Geotechnical testing Authority Total Geotechnics to follow Earthworks Guidelines and site plans specifications received by Frostdale Civil Contractors Pty Ltd. General fill material used for the construction was locally sourced on-site and predominantly comprising of Silt, Sand and Clay type material. 3. Inspections/Supervision Full time Level 1 supervision and inspection were undertaken between; 1 st December to 18 th December 2014 including supervision and inspections regarding the stripping and removal as per AS3798 Section 3 shall have removed: Organic soils, such as topsoils, severely root affected subsoils and peat; Contaminated soils is part of the brief; Materials which undergo volume change or loss of strength when disturbed and exposed to moisture; Silts, or materials that have deleterious engineering properties of silt; Other materials with properties that are unsuitable for the forming of structural fill; Fill that contains wood, metal plastic, boulders or other deleterious material, in sufficient proportions to affect the required performance of the fill. The maximum particle size of any rocks or other lumps, within the layer has not exceeded two thirds ( 2 / 3) of the compacted layer thickness. The lots inspected were essentially homogeneous in relation to material type and moisture condition, rolling response and compaction technique which has been used for the assessment of relative compaction of an area of work (AS3798 Section 1.2.8). 3

Report No: TGE15051-1 24/03/2015 Prior to placement any existing filled ground, for which the conditions of the placement are not adequately documented it has not been assumed to have been of either standard compaction or of the composition adequate to support fill and any material has been removed (AS3798 Section 2o). 4. Testing The project was classified as Residential Development for the purposes of AS3798-2007 (refer Table 5.1), thereby requiring a minimum compaction result of 95% Standard Compaction for the cohesive soils (AS 1289 5.7.1 & 5.1.1). AS3798-2007 further requires a minimum of 3 tests per day be undertaken throughout the placement of the fill (refer AS3798 Table 8.1) Tests were performed using a Nuclear Density Gauge for field density determination AS 1289.5.8.1. Testing was completed at a rate of 3 field density tests per day s production as based on the minimum requirements of AS 3798 2007 and taken from each layer of fill placed. The filling operation was undertaken between 1 st December to 18 th December 2014. The material was Site-derived General Fill. Material was placed in approximately 300mm loose layers, rolling effort with on-site 825 Compactor (to seal of each layer of placed General Fill material) to a compacted 200mm layer that achieved 95% Standard Compaction which met Australian Standards specifications. This was considered the best method to achieve compaction using the plant and machinery available. A total of No.29 Field density and Laboratory Hilf Compaction tests were performed. The reports verify the achievement of the minimum density requirement of 95% Standard Compaction throughout the full depth area, with each layer tested accordingly. All test results were provided to our client Frostdale Civil Contractors for inclusion within their internal quality system (Refer to Appendix B Summary of Results). At the completion of the structural layers any material within 150mm of permanent subgrade level in cuttings was subjected to test rolling; test rolling was undertaken and the layers withstood test rolling without visible deformation or springing (AS 3798 Section 5.5). 4

Report No: TGE15051-1 24/03/2015 The lots that are covered by this Level 1 Supervision report are listed in the table below. Lot 28- Muller Street, Redland Bay. Report No: TGE15051-2 June 2015 1. Introduction Total Geotechnics has been engaged by Frostdale Civil Contractors on the 26 th June 2015, to provide Level 1 Geotechnical Supervision on Lot 28- Muller Street, Redland Bay Project (Refer Appendix 1 Site Plans & Diagrams and Appendix 3 Site Photographs). This Level 1 report presents the results of supervision activities, compaction and moisture control, material placement and laboratory testing for ground works undertaken at Lot 28 previous Septic tank area. Removal size was approximately 5.5m in length, 4m in width and 2m in depth from existing surface by Frostdale Civil Contractors. This report covers construction activities carried out for one day s level one filling on the 26 th June 2015. 3. Inspections/Supervision Full time Level 1 supervision and inspection were undertaken was; 26 th June 2015, including supervision and inspections regarding the stripping and removal as per AS3798 Section 3 shall have removed: Organic soils, such as topsoils, severely root affected subsoils and peat; Contaminated soils is part of the brief; Materials which undergo volume change or loss of strength when disturbed and exposed to moisture; Silts, or materials that have deleterious engineering properties of silt; Other materials with properties that are unsuitable for the forming of structural fill; Fill that contains wood, metal plastic, boulders or other deleterious material, in sufficient proportions to affect the required performance of the fill. The maximum particle size of any rocks or other lumps, within the layer has not exceeded two thirds ( 2 / 3) of the compacted layer thickness. 3

Lot 28- Muller Street, Redland Bay. Report No: TGE15051-2 June 2015 The lots inspected were essentially homogeneous in relation to material type and moisture condition, rolling response and compaction technique which has been used for the assessment of relative compaction of an area of work (AS3798 Section 1.2.8). Prior to placement any existing filled ground, for which the conditions of the placement are not adequately documented it has not been assumed to have been of either standard compaction or of the composition adequate to support fill and any material has been removed (AS3798 Section 2o). The filling operation was undertaken on the 26 th June 2015. The material was Site-derived General Fill. Material was placed in approximately 300mm loose layers, rolling effort with on-site Compactor (to seal of each layer of placed General Fill material) to a compacted 200mm layer that achieved 95% Standard Compaction which met Australian Standards specifications. This was considered the best method to achieve compaction using the plant and machinery available. A total of No.3 Field density and Laboratory Hilf Compaction tests were performed. 4
