If you fly into DFW, Fort Sill is an approx. 3 hour drive. Oklahoma City is the preferred airport as it is approx. 1.5 hours away. RV & Campground Sites Anyone wishing to travel to graduation via RV or with a camping trailer may feel free to do so. The Lawton Area offers campsites with hookups, and the campground in Lawton is only, onequarter mile off Interstate 44. To reserve the campsites call 580-353-0696 between 9am- 4pm (central time), Monday through Friday, or 8am-12 pm on Saturdays. Plaza RV Park welcomes you.
Dress and Conduct While you are here at Fort Sill, we ask that you help us to preserve our training environment. Please do not smoke or use inappropriate language in or around the training area. Please wear appropriate attire; there is no dress code, of course, but vulgar or distasteful slogans or exposures are unacceptable. Photography on Post It is permissible to photograph and videotape graduation activities; however, this permission does not extend to 7 Page the rest of Fort Sill. While photography is allowed of ceremonies and social events, unrestricted videotaping and photography by the public on Ft. Sill is prohibited. Photography is also allowed of historical exhibits at the Field Artillery Museum, including those which are outdoors, but not of nearby family quarters and office buildings. You are welcome to bring a camera to the graduation, but please exercise caution and do not point it in the direction of installation facilities, buildings and military equipment which are not part of the graduation activities. Driving on Post For those visitors that are not DOD ID cardholders and whose vehicle does not have a DOD registration the only authorized entrances to Fort Sill are Bentley Gate (on Sheridan Road) and Key Gate (which is off of the I-44 exit). Fort Sill roads are patrolled by the Military Police and all traffic laws are strictly enforced. Also be aware that driving and talking on a cell phone is prohibited on Post.
