Dinosaur Comparison Dinosaurs differed in many ways, from their coverings to their diets. Fill out as much information as you can about the following dinosaurs, and then draw each one. What did it eat? How many legs did it walk on? How many horns did it have? What was its habitat? What era did it live in? What was its average length? Did it have feathers? Did it have wings? Tyrannosaurus Triceratops Apatosaurus Microraptor Tyrannosaurus Triceratops Apatosaurus Microraptor

Dinosaurs are Just Like While dinosaurs may seem like fantastic monsters to us today, they actually share traits with many familiar animals. Choose the correct answer below: 1. Dinosaurs lived in herds, just like: a. owls b. sea anemones c. buffalo 2. Dinosaurs had hollow bones, just like: a. shrimp b. birds c. eels 3. Some dinosaurs probably had good memory skills, s, just like: a. goldfish b. elephants c. flies 4. Scientists think dinosaurs may have shed their scaly skin, just like: a. dogs b. monkeys c. snakes 5. Some dinosaurs, like the Iguanodon, had hooves, just like: a. pigs b. bears c. snakes 6. Some dinosaurs fed on the dead remains of other animals, just like: a. cows b. deer c. hyenas 7. Some dinosaurs were cannibals, just like: a. Komodo dragons b. moles c. sloths 8. Some dinosaurs were protected by tough plated shells, just like: a. armadillos b. cats c. polar bears 9. Some dinosaurs could run as soon as they hatched, often to escape from predators. This is like the babies of mammals such as: a. birds and turtles b. zebras and gazelles c. jellyfish and sharks 10. Some dinosaurs, like the pterosaurs, had wings made of skin, just like: a. mice b. gazelles c. bats

Name that Dinosaur Match the description with the right dinosaur. 1. I have a bird-like beak, but I donʼt have any teeth at all. 2. I am as heavy as a ten-ton truck, and I get my name, which means three-horned face from my short nose horn and two longer bro w horns. 3. I have large diamond-shaped plates running along my back, and each plate is covered with a tou gh, hornlike layer or skin. 4. I am small but agile, and Iʼm built like a bird and covered with features. I have an unusually large brain and sharp eyes, and am swift on my feet. 5. I am slender and feathered, about the size of a wolf. I have long arms that fold up like wings, and my body is covered in feathers. I was featured in Jurassic Park, but Iʼm not really that big. 6. I weigh as much as four elephants, and I eat plants. I have strong limbs, and pencil-like teeth at the front of my muzzle. Iʼm also known as an Apatosaurus. 7. I was the second prehistoric animal to be identified as a dinosaur. My name means iguana teeth and I walk on all fours, using my beaked mouth for eating low-growing plants. 8. I am as long as a bus and twice the weight of an elephant. I am most likely the top predator in my environment, and the strength of my bite is greater than that of any other land animal. Iguanadon Brontosaurus Tyrannosaurs Troodon Oviraptor Stegosaurus Triceratops Velociraptor

The Truth about Dinosaurs Circle whether the following statements are true or false. 1. Dinosaurs only ate meat. 2. The blue whale is bigger than any dinosaur. 3. Dinosaurs differed from modern-day reptiles, in that they could stand with their legs straight, like mammals. 4. Dinosaurs lived during the same time as the earliest humans. 5. The Brachiosaurus is believed to have been the smallest dinosaur on Earth. 6. Dinosaurs gave birth to live young. 7. A newborn baby has a bigger brain than most dinosaurs. 8. Jellyfish have been around for 400 million years even before the dinosaurs. 9. Sauropods are believed to be the tallest animals that have ever lived, with some growing more than twice the height of a giraffe. 10. All dinosaurs were slow and sluggish. 11. Birds are believed to be descendants of dinosaurs. 12. Mammals only came into being after the dinosaurs died out. 13. Dinosaurs were the first reptiles to rule the Earth. 14. Dinosaurs prospered for more than 150 million years. 15. All fossil animals are dinosaurs.
