Facts about the Project Project Location: Southeast Harris County, Texas Proposed Project Length: Approximately 1.5 miles Proposed Project Boundaries: Red Bluff Road from Kirby Boulevard to State Highway 146 Proposed Project Cost Estimate: $15,175,000
Facts about the Project Proposed Design: Convert existing roadway to three lanes of westbound traffic New parallel bridge south of existing Taylor Lake Bridge, accommodating two new lanes of eastbound traffic 10-foot-wide shared-use trail on new bridge, accommodating both directions of traffic
Project Need and Purpose The purpose of this project is to: Increase capacity on Red Bluff Road across Taylor Lake Support future growth of the region Improve safety and connectivity Add capacity for emergency evacuation
Anticipated construction activities to begin in third quarter 2018 Anticipated construction completion is 22 months after project begins (summer 2020)
