Developed a method to determine zero-contact point in nanoindentation experiments. Characterized elastic plastic transition in different crystal structures. Developed a microscale model for dislocation-based nonlinear elastic deformation in materials. Characterized the effect of nonlinear elastic deformation on creep, fatigue and tribological properties of materials. Synthesized ternary carbide materials using pressurized sintering.
