AT L A K E P L A C I D L O D G E A wedding at the Lake Placid Lodge is the event of a lifetime. The Main Lodge is remarkable, offering the finest accommodations and dining in a truly idyllic setting on the shore of Lake Placid. The romantic nature of the Lodge truly shines at a wedding. The rooms spill over with music, firelight, dancing and flowers. The peace of the North Pole blesses the ceremony and all who attend it. The wide lake and the great North Woods set the scene; the authentic Great Camp atmosphere of the hotel, the extraordinary service and the very fine cuisine make it an exceptional occasion. As with the wedding and rehearsal dinner, there are many sites to choose from for a unique reception: the dock, a tent at the lake s edge, the stone terraces, the dining room, the Adirondack Room, Baby Bootlegger, the Wine Cellar, the barge, even the woods. The Wedding Coordinator can help you create magical details: perhaps the bridal party will arrive on ice skates over the frozen lake, or depart by horse-drawn sleigh, perhaps the bride and groom can set off for a few private moments in a chauffeured, beribboned Hacker-Craft, champagne in hand or greeted by a raucous bluegrass band. Anything is possible. Adirondack T E R R AC E Say I do with Whiteface Mountain as your backdrop.
