Each student must complete at least one course numbered NSP4x53. Scholars Day NSP 4900 Scholars Day Advising Notes for the NSP Skills courses and certain General Education courses (all but Philosophy and Theology) will be waived for students transferring to Newman with an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree from a regionally accredited two-year college. A maximum of 6 hours of Gen-Ed courses may also count toward major requirements. The prerequisites for Capstone courses are Sophomore standing and completion of the Skills level. One Capstone course must be taken as philosophy rich and have a course number 4X53. All Core courses are non-transferable (must be taken at Newman University). 1
Chemistry Degree Requirements The Chemistry B.A. prepares you for entry-level positions in chemical industry, and provides greater flexibility for a second major. The Chemistry B.S. prepares you for advanced studies in chemistry. The Biochemistry B.S. prepares you for medical and other health-related programs and for graduate studies in chemistry/biochemistry.
