Science and Technology, Department of/ Wetenskap en Tegnologie, Departement van 1389 Astronomy Geographic Advantage Act (21/2007): Notice for a workshop on proposed exemption for Radio Frequency Spectrum Use within the declared Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas 42116 4 No. 42116 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 14 DECEMBER 2018 Government Notices Goewermentskennisgewings DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY NO. 1389 14 DECEMBER 2018 NOTICE FOR A WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED EXEMPTION FOR RADIO FREQUENCY SPECTRUM USE WITHIN THE DECLARED KAROO CENTRAL ASTRONOMY ADVANTAGE AREAS I, Mere Kgampe, the Director of the Astronomy Management Authority established within the Department of Science and Technology and assigned to be the management authority for the declared Karoo Central Astronomy Areas in terms of section 15 of the Astronomy Geographic Advantage Act, 2007 (Act No.21 of 2007), by the Minister of Science and Technology, hereby, in terms of Regulation 5 of the Regulations on Fair Administrative Procedures published in terms of the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act, 2000, give notice of a workshop that will be held within the Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas. The Minister published the notice of the proposed exemption for radio frequency spectrum use within the Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas in Government Gazette number 42057 under notice number 1301, on 23 November 2018. The notice invited interested and affected parties to submit written representations and/or objections to the proposed list of radio frequency spectrum to be exempted. The purpose of the workshop is to provide special assistance to members of communities within the Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas who need special assistance in order to make informed written representations. 1389 Wet op Geografiese Astronomievoordeel (21/2007): Kennisgewing vir n werkswinkel op die voorgestelde Vrystelling van die Radiofrekwensiespektrumgebruik binne die Verklaarde Karoo Sentrale Astronomievoordeelgebiede 42116 STAATSKOERANT, 14 DESEMBER 2018 No. 42116 5 DEPARTEMENT VAN WETENSKAP EN TEGNOLOGIE NO. 1389 14 DESEMBER 2018 KENNISGEWING VIR 'N WERKSWINKEL OP DIE VOORGESTELDE VRYSTELLING VAN DIE RADIOFREKWENSIESPEKTRUMGEBRUIK BINNE DIE VERKLAARDE KAROO SENTRALE ASTRONOMIEVOORDEELGEBIEDE Ek, Mere Kgampe, Direkteur van die Astronomie Bestuursgesag vir die Verklaarde Karoo Sentrale Astronomievoordeelgebiede binne die Departement van Wetenskap en Tegnologie gevestig, en aangewys deur die Minister van Wetenskap en Tegnologie, kragtens artikel 15 van die Wet op Geografiese Astronomievoordeel, 2007 (Wet No.21 van 2007), gee hiermee kennis, kragtens Regulasie 5 van die Regulasies op Billike Administratiewe Prosedures, gepubliseer kragtens die Wet op die Bevordering van Administratiewe Geregtigheid, 2000, van 'n werkswinkel wat binne die Karoo Sentrale Astronomievoordeelgebiede gehou sal word. Die Minister het die kennisgewing van die voorgestelde vrystelling vir radiofrekwensiespektrumgebruik, binne die Karoo Sentrale Astronomievoordeel gebiede, gepubliseer in Staatskoerant nommer 42057, onder kennisgewing nommer 1301, op 23 November 2018. Die kennisgewing nooi belanghebbende en geaffekteerde partye uit om skriftelike vertoë en/of besware teen die voorgestelde lys van radiofrekwensiespektrum om vrygestel te word, te maak. Die doel van die werkswinkel is om spesiale bystand te verleen aan lede van die gemeenskappe, binne die Karoo Sentrale Astronomievoordeelgebiede ten einde ingeligte skriftelike vertoë te maak.
