The project demonstrates substantial progress and activities have been conducted according to the agreed work plan and timeline. The key milestones for year 1 and year 2 have been achieved (some exceeding targets). 2. The project has completed all of the 2nd year activities cycle and further expansion to all targeted villages. The findings from implementation support mission suggest that social accountability process has helped the prioritization of Village Fund (government inter-fiscal transfers program) for maternal and child health (MCH) services. The advocacy efforts have contributed to the issuance of local government regulation and increased budget for MCH services at the village level. At service delivery and community level, there is evidence on improvement in community score card and service standard monitoring of the targeted areas. Moreover, increased awareness of rights and obligations regarding health services and fostered dialogue have promoted citizen engagement and positive collaboration amongst local government, service providers and community. 3. The project has successfully maintained its strong visibility to government and other key stakeholders. Lessons learned from CVA implementation has been shared in a number of global and national knowledge and learning forums.
