T h is paper is a tentative exp lo ration of the relation betw een the Internet and C2E dictionary com p ilation. It discusses the functions of the Internet, the w ay of using the Internet to assist C2E dictionary comp ilation and the p roblem s the comp iler should give heed to w h ile using Internet resourceṡ In addition, it ho lds that using the Internet to assist the comp ilation of C2E dictionary comp ilation is a significant m easure w ith a brigh t future.
