For over 40 years, Great Plains Manufacturing has been bringing American producers high-quality and innovative products. As part of the Kubota family, Great Plains has recently partnered with Kverneland to offer the American producer one of the world s most robust and reliable lineup of plows. Available through select U.S. Great Plains dealers, the European-designed Kverneland Plow fits well into Great Plains domestic line of tillage products. Great Plains and Kverneland are both known for delivering some of the most respected agricultural equipment around the world. Together, this lineup of plows is no different! Kverneland s innovative steel technologies have been used for over 135 years to produce its world-renowned plows. These special steels and heat treatment processes result in stronger, lighter plows with industry-leading wear resistance. Great Plains by Kverneland plows help improve efficiency and profitability for farmers by allowing them to do more work in fewer passes. Today s producers, whether conventional or organic, continue to fight ever-challenging weeds that rob moisture and nutrients from their crop, and no tool is more effective than a plow when it comes to killing these weeds. Growers must also manage crop residue that is increasingly difficult to break down. Completely burying this residue leaves a clean surface for seeding and planting components to run in while minimizing pests and insects that feed on the decay. Plowing also allows growers to incorporate dry or liquid products, such as litter and manure, directly to the root level of the future crop, ensuring late-season availability of nutrients. Perhaps the most important aspect of the plow is its ability to do all of this while creating the foundation for an ideal seedbed. Addressing all of these challenges leads to higher yields, more efficient utilization of nutrients, and reduced time in the field.

GREAT PLAINS BY KVERNELAND PW-100 SERIES WITH VARIOMAT SIZES: 7, 8, 9, or 10 FURROWS PLOWS The PW-100 Series 3 in 1 plows consist of a robust semi-mounted reversible plow in the front and a mounted reversible plow at the rear. This unique design offers the flexibility to choose the right combination to suit any soil condition: use the entire plow or utilize only the front or rear plow sections. In some situations, it may be advantageous to use only the front section, such as, in very wet or very hard conditions, or due to the size of the available tractor. The heavy front section alone will provide optimum performance in any condition. Conversely, it may be beneficial to use only the rear section as a normal mounted plow for smaller areas or headlands. Thanks to the center section s three-point linkage system, PW-100 Series plows operate like standard mounted plows, following ground undulations smoothly. With Kverneland s Variomat system, furrow width adjustments are made on-the-go from the tractor s seat. Adjustments can be made from 14" to 20". To meet individual plowing preferences, choose one of two hitch options: long offset or short offset/in-furrow. The long offset allows on-land operation only and is compatible with track/tire spacing up to 14' 9" wide. The short offset hitch offers the flexibility of either on-land or infurrow plowing and is compatible with track/tire spacing up to 10' 6" wide. The rear plow can be uncoupled and ready to use alone within a few minutes. Likewise, it only takes a short time to join the two sections back together. www.greatplainsag.com

GREAT PLAINS BY KVERNELAND PACKOMAT MODELS: 7-10 Bottom PLOWS For many soil types, the perfect seedbed can be created by plowing. This combination of plow and packer is both efficient and environmentally friendly. Weeds are controlled mechanically, rather than chemically, and the number of operations is reduced. The soil structure is immediately re-established. The traditional packer is a trailed implement towed by a plow. Kverneland has refined this implement, making it an integral part of the plow. Kverneland s Packomat works in all soil conditions. Whatever gets plowed is also packed. Moreover, you don t have to release the packer and reconnect it when turning in the field. It changes sides automatically in the plow-reversing process. Compared with traditional packers that are trailed behind the plow, the integrated Packomat is rigidly mounted via a packer arm made of a specially hardened spring steel. This arm creates a weight transfer from the plow to the Packomat to ensure that the packer works the soil with the right field pressure. More than 2,755lbs of pressure is regulated by a turnbuckle or an optional hydraulic cylinder. With the support of the depth wheel on the one side and the Packomat on the other side, the plow is evenly balanced with less landside pressure, less wear, and a reduction of the draft requirement. In comparison to a conventional soil packer, Kverneland s Packomat requires 25% less pulling effort. Therefore, fuel consumption is substantially reduced. www.greatplainsag.com
FEATURES & BENEFITS Efficient Soil Preparation - The Packomat levels, re-consolidates, crushes dirt clods, and prepares the seedbed all while plowing. The Packomat works in all conditions. Its easily-adjustable packing pressure uses the weight and penetration from the plow to recompact the soil. Easy Turnarounds - The Packomat is an integrated packer that follows the plow from plowing to transport. Narrow Transport Width - The Packomat s transport width is adjustable to match the tractor s width. Integrated system without additional pulling forces Perfect handling from tractor cab Zero need for additional transport capacity PACKOMAT POINTS Saves time and money Works in any plowing condition No extra pulling force needed Fits plows from 7-10 furrows Integrated to plow, even in transport Crushes clods and recompacts in depth Reduces evaporation by leveling plowed land Re-establishes soil capillarity action 20-year proven design 19" diameter rings, 8" ring spacing Optimized leveling with front harrow Efficient soil preparation up to seedbed with integrated Packomat 9
VARIOMAT Kverneland s patented Variomat adjustable plow-width system creates an optimal match between soil conditions, the plow, and the tractor to maximize output. The system ensures that the correct parallel linkage is maintained along the entire plow and automatically makes pulling-line adjustments. The benefits include easy handling, low draft requirements, and minimized wear and tear, making Variomat the most reliable system on the market. With Variomat, furrow width adjustments are made hydraulically on-the-go from the driver s seat. Being able to determine not only the depth, but also the width, of the furrows is crucial if the best results are to be achieved. By varying the furrow width, the work can be kept straighter and working up to or around obstacles is simplified. In addition to the furrow width, the pulling line adjusts automatically to keep the headstock in the center of the tractor at all times. This makes plowing more efficient and uses less fuel. A unique, non-wearing linkage joint between the beams and the mainframe section makes the Kverneland Variomat system maintenance free. The system consists of a robust 24mm bolt, a distance tube, two special heat-treated cones, and replaceable brushes. Kverneland s unique heat treatment that produces high-quality steels, combined with their ability to exact manufacturing accuracies, guarantees perfect beam and body alignment with minimal wear. In-Furrow On-Land The heat-treated mainframe together with the bolt, distance tube, two 14" 20" 14" 20" cones, and bushes ensure a unique, non-wearing pivot joint between the beams and the mainframe. Kverneland s auto-line system is a standard device that guarantees the correct pulling line at any time. When changing the working width, both front furrow width and pulling line adjust accordingly. Kverneland s auto-line system makes these adjustments automatically. The position of the headstock remains in the center of the tractor all the time, ensuring a favorable and an even geometry of the three-point linkage. Side pull and unnecessary high land side pressure are therefore avoided. Consequently, the Kverneland auto-line system ensures efficient plowing with less fuel consumption. 20" 14" www.greatplainsag.com
STEEL PROCESS For more than 135 years, Kverneland has been developing special steels and heat treatment processes to produce equipment capable of withstanding even the toughest soil conditions. Kverneland s heat treatment processes are not limited to a few select parts, but instead are utilized throughout the entire plow frame. This process maximizes the durability of the frame, producing equipment of unsurpassed quality and wear resistance. In addition, Kverneland s induction process uses less steel than competitors making their plows lighter, requiring less weight to pull and lift while ensuring a higher resistance. In spite of their lighter weight, Kverneland plows are extremely robust to deliver outstanding performance. Kverneland carburising process results in creating two steels in one sole mouldboard: a: sharp as a diamond for optimum wear resistance b: necessary flexibility to absorb shocks For the highest plowing performance, Kverneland also grinds the different parts forming the body to ensure its uniformity for an even furrow. Both Great Plains and Kverneland have a commitment to producing reputable and durable products. No matter which tool you choose to achieve your goals, rest assured, Great Plains by Kverneland is here to offer you products with the strength and quality you desire, along with the same great service and support you deserve. 12-hour carburising heat treatment process for each mouldboard 11
