SPECIFICATION FOR SNOW REMOVAL & ICE CONTROL 7.1 Kilometers of Undesignated Streets Season 2017-18 SNOW REMOVAL 1. Snow removal to be carried out before regular business hours to allow normal movement of traffic and parking accommodation. 2. Snow removal to be carried out during or after regular business hours if conditions warrant it. 3. Streets to be widened with blower when deemed necessary by Chairperson of Street Committee, Mark Stephen, Councillor. 4. Summer blading must be done to remove excess snow from streets when deemed necessary by Chairperson of the Street Committee. 5. Snow removal equipment must have a wing. 6. Snow removal equipment must have a V Plow. 7. Intersection corners must have snow pushed back to allow clear visibility for the traveling public. 8. Contractor must remove excess sand from streets after snowplowing has ceased for the season. 9. Contractor is responsible for replacing any signage damaged by plow after snowplowing has ceased for the season. Must provide proof of insurance to Town of Georgetown. *For awarded tender only - must provide proof of insurance to Town of Georgetown; and, must add the Town of Georgetown on to your insurance policy as an additional insured.

SANDING ICE CONTROL 1. Sanding to be carried out before regular business hours to allow normal movement of traffic and parking accommodation. 2. If conditions require, sanding will be carried out during or after business hours. 3. Sand will be mixed with 5% by volume of highway salt. 4. Sanding will be from intersection to intersection and all in between. 5. Contractor must remove excess sand from streets after snowplowing has ceased for the season. SPECIFICATIONS FOR TRUCKING Tandem Dump trucks to haul snow. Must have two trucks available at all times. *For awarded tender only - must provide proof of insurance to Town of Georgetown; and, must add the Town of Georgetown on to your insurance policy as an additional insured.

TENDER SNOW PLOWING & ICE CONTROL 2017-18 Snow plowing and Ice Control of all undesignated streets in the Town. 7.1 kilometers. Snow plowing is to be carried out before regular business hours to allow normal movement of traffic and parking accommodations. Streets to be widened with blower when deemed necessary by Chairperson of Street Committee. Total Cost: (Including applicable taxes) Make of Machine, Power output, Size of bucket or blade and blower that is attached: Amount of backup machinery available: Amount of Liability Insurance on each machine and name of Insuring Agent/Company: NOTE: All clean up work in the spring is the responsibility of the contractor, as deemed necessary by the Chairperson of the Streets Committee. Contractor is responsible for any damages caused due to Snow Removal. Signature of Contractor Signature Town of Georgetown Name of Contractor This form must be submitted to the Town Administrator prior to 12:00 noon, Mon. October 16 th, 2016. Council reserves the right to dissolve the contract anytime within the 2017-18 period if they deem necessary.

TOWN OF GEORGETOWN CONTRACT FOR SNOW REMOVAL & ICE CONTROL MUNICIPAL FACILITIES To supply snow removal and ice control from November 1 st, 2017 to April 30, 2018 at the following Municipal sites: 1. Civic Centre: Parking lot sanded, door way to Civic Centre salted. Library door and walkway salted. 2. Sewer Pump Stations, sanded. 3. Town Sign Entrance kept clear and salted to allow access at all times. 4. Fire Hydrants kept clear to allow access at all times. *(minimum weekly Wednesday clearing by noon or as needed *must be checked weekly for access*). 5. Fire Hall and Fire Hall doors. Fire hall doors to be kept clear at all times. 6. Fire Hall and parking lot sanded and doorway sanded. Fire hall must be done first before any other contracts. Snow from Civic Centre parking lot and curb to be put on vacant lot on the East side of Fire Hall. Please specify machinery to be used. *Islands in front of Civic Centre not to be used for snow storage. Contract will be awarded for snow removal/ice control service for complete season as specified and contract will not be hourly rates. *NOTE: All clean up work in the Spring is the responsibility of the contractor, as deemed necessary by the Chairperson of the Streets Committee. Contractor responsible for any damages caused due to Snow Removal.
