W H AT I S L O N D O N S C H I L D O B E S I T Y TA S K F O R C E To effect change in systems and industry on the issue of childhood obesity, specifically the inequality gap that exists w ith it, ensuring that resources are directed toward tackling this issue in a co-ordinated w ay that provides best value and greatest impact. The Taskforce w ill achieve this by: 1. Taking a w hole-system approach to tackling childhood obesity engaging leaders from all sectors that contribute to developing healthy environments for children and their families. 2. Working collaboratively and in partnership to deliver an action focused approach to address the issues where health inequalities drive obesity in childhood. 3. Using, developing and sharing evidence and best practice from w ithin London, across the UK and internationally on successful interventions to reduce childhood obesity with a specific focus on health inequality 4. Openly monitoring and reporting on progress and reviewing the effectiveness of the Taskforce on a routine basis. 5. Actively seek to support testing and evaluating approaches to complex adaptive systems.
