The Ridge Review The Best things at CRJS Welcome to Crawley Ridge Junior School ELSA The Problem Solvers Surprise snow Last week an unusual drop in temperature caused large amounts of snow. Because of this the school was closed for two days. The cause of this is that the wind around the pole had meandered cooling most of Europe. It soon returned to normal and it warmed up. If you go to Mrs. Turland or Mrs. Parrot they will sort out your problem with you. They can help if you had a bit of a fall out with your friend or you are not sure what to do if you are nervous about moving up to a new year group. They will make a promise to talk to you about your problem. Everything, about this school is wonderful. The teachers try to help you in every way they can to make your learning fun so you can learn easier for you and your class to learn better in school. The environment at our school is amazing. It has lots of animals living in our woods and squirrels living on the playground in the bins scrambling for food to eat.
CRJS Cookies at Christmas Once upon a time, there lived two girls. One was called Meghna and the other was Maisie. Maisie was visiting Meghna and they decided that they were going to the movies later. However, it was two hours before it started so they decided to make some cookies. They put the dough on the burning, hot pan and set the timer for five minutes. Soon later, Meghna s gorgeous, fluffy kitten (Cookie) came galloping down the stairs as he smelt the delicious scent of the lovely warm cookies. Then, he ran through the dining room, viciously climbed up the door. But he was stuck! Then suddenly Xanthe and Katrina arrived and opened the door. Cookie desperately ran through and jumped onto the kitchen sink. As Xanthe and Katrina didn t know Cookie had escaped into the kitchen. They joined Meghna and Maisie in their room and joined the game they were playing. However, Cookie was in the kitchen unsupervised. He could do whatever he wanted. He slyly looked around when he spotted the cookies that the girls had left to cool. He immediately ran over and ate every single one of them. Meanwhile, the girls timer went off and they went to collect the cookies. However, when they opened the kitchen door they froze in shock. Meghna was so angry that she put him in his time out cage. That was the day she learnt to never leave a kitten unsupervised. By Meghna Khulpateea (Meg Meg) ECO Council Alert! Do you love polar bears? Or Penguins or seals? Well soon they will be extinct.
