12 Impact of high frequency data assimilation (Rms Misfit)/(Rms Data) : J2,J1N 2009 (Rms Misfit)/(Rms Data) (Rms Misfit)/(Rms Data) Increase of the misfit in the Irish Sea (may be due to the difference of the tide model used in IBI and data filtering) Reduction of the misfit of the rest of the domain: The western Mediterranean Biascay Bay In the Deep area (Rap<0.4) Mean=0.79 Mean=
13 Impact of high frequency data assimilation Sla Score : J2, 2009 Mean(Misfit) Rms(Misfit )/Rms(Data) Rms(Misfit ) we won a 1 cm Rms (misfit) 13
14 Impact on the scores of insitu data Mean & Rms (Misfit) Temperature No improvement in scores for temperature both Mean and Rms (over all domain) Salinity Slight improvement in both Mean and Rms especially near the surface(0-50m) 14
15 Conclusion & prospects We have good results with a regional model reanalysis, this can be used to force coastal models. Mercator Ocean simulation extended until We have the best scores of assimilation without the correction of the Dac in the model and data. Salinity improvement 0-50 m. Observation error and/or representativeness have to be redefined for this new data. 15
