Workshop-3 11:35:00 AM-12:35:00 PM Carter Emmert American Museum of Natural History Open Space

Workshop-4 1:35:00 PM-2:35:00 PM Tsunehiko Kato Mitaka About Mitaka software (temporary) Presentation:A-1 2:45:00 PM-3:15:00 PM Lars Lindberg CHRISTENSEN European Southern Observatory The Data2Dome Project - A Consolidated, Data-Driven Content Distribution System The Data2Dome project streamlines content flow from research institutions to planetariums, offering the audience a unique opportunity to access to the latest data from space in near real time. Content, and metadata describing this content, is fed via a fast Internet connection (10-20 Mbit/s) into planetarium systems in an automated way, significantly reducing the workload for the planetarium presenter. Presentation:A-2 3:15:00 PM3:45:00 PM Ryan Wyatt Morrison Planetarium and Science Visualization

Presentation:A-3 9:00:00 AM-9:30:00 AM Satoshi Miyazaki Hyper Suprime-Cam and the public data release Hyper Suprime-Cam is an optical imager which uniquely features the combination of large aperture (8 m), the very wide field (1.5 degree diameter) and the sharp image (0.6 arcsec). We started the legacy survey in early 2014 and continues for more than 5 years. We make a public data release of early data to scientists which would be also be interesting to board community. Presentation:A-4 9:30:00 AM10:00:00 AM Yuji Shirasaki/Masaaki Hiramatsu JVO ALMA FITS data archive Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) is the largest radio telescope operated in Chile. The data collected by ALMA becomes publicly accessible after a 12 month proprietary period. Japanese Virtual Observatory (JVO) ALMA FITS data archive is one of the access points to the ALMA data. The most distinctive features of the JVO ALMA FITS archive is the availability of a web-based quick look viewer for ALMA data cube. We present the characteristics of ALMA data and the way to retrieve and/or look at the data on JVO ALMA FITS archive. Presentation:B-1 10:00:00 AM-10:15:00 AM Saeko Hayashi Subaru Telescope, Connecting real sky and your sky in your classroom/home

Presentation:B-2 10:15:00 AM-10:30:00 AM Akira Miura Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency Visualization of Space Science Data - Using Data Archives at ISAS - At the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS, JAXA), many scientific data has been retrieved from scientific satellites and space probes. This presentation consists of two topics: a brief survey of services to aid the visualization of scientific data at ISAS, and our works on visualizing such data. Presentation:B-3 10:30:00 AM-10:45:00 AM Ben Emmons LSST LSST as "Data" in "Data to Dome" LSST Education and Public Outreach (EPO) is soliciting feedback from planetarium / science center staff, vendors, and patrons regarding opportunities for how LSST data can be discovered and easily incorporated into shows, kiosks, exhibits, etc. Presentation:B-4 11:00:00 AM-11:15:00 AM Carlos Augusto Molina Velásquez Planetarium of Medellín Helios: tales from the solar neiborghood Helios is the newest production of Medell\x{00ed}n Planetarium. In this show we explore the solar system with the most recent results and images of space missions. We will present the making off process combining the traditional digitalsky pipeline for production with free resources for 3D animatics

Presentation:B-5 11:15:00 AM-11:30:00 AM Pedro Russo Leiden University, the Netherlands Public Access to Scientific Data In this short presentation I will present the current status, trends, challenges of public access to (and production of) scientific data, with a focus on astronomical data. Presentation:B-6 11:30:00 AM-11:45:00 AM Thilina Heenatigala astroedu / Leiden Observatory Presentation:B-7 11:45:00 AM-12:00:00 PM Jim Ching-Chuan Hung Dome theater, Audio-visual Section,Taipei Astronomical Museum Public outreach of TAM Planetarium The TAM Planetarium has a mission of public outreach for the promotion of the sciences and more particularly modern astronomy. We are proud to offer daily Public Planetarium shows, Science Under the Dome monthly lectures, and many shows for K-12 groups at no cost to students. The year 2011 ushered in a new era for the TAM Planetarium as we upgraded to a Uniview-Zorro HD digital system.

Presentation:A-5 1:00:00 PM-1:30:00 PM Takaaki Takeda VASA Entertainment Co. Ltd., and Making dome movies from astronomical simulations with large number of particles. We had made several dome movies for 4D2U contents, from astronomical simulations with large number of particles. Due to its large particle number, fast rendering with OpenGL is required, rather than commonly used ray-traced full CG. Thus, we had developed tools for particle rendering. I will introduce them and explain some techniques used in them for fast rendering. Presentation:A-6 1:30:00 PM-2:00:00 PM Hirotaka Nakayama Data visualization with Unity (temporary) Unity is a game engine that supports various platforms, and it is used not only for game production but also for art, education, etc. We have been working on data visualization with Unity3D since one year ago, and it turned out that visualization of tens of millions of particles is possible. Presentation:B-8 2:00:00 PM2:15:00 PM Ian McLennan Ian McLennan Consulting Innovative new immersive exhibitions
