13 Modeling calculation and analysis Under Cassie state, cos θ C = f C (cos θ 0 + 1) 1 (1) f C was defined as solid liquid contact area fraction on roughened surface and θ 0 is the intrinsic contact angle on plane surface. In this paper, we have assumed that the SNPs coating was treated as a superhydrophobic plane. Therefore, the SNPs protuberances could be regard as separated microscale square columns on the resin. Under tensile state, the square columns were separated to form a patterned composite surface and their relative geometrical parameters were labeled as side length (D), height (H) and side-to-side distance (L). The strain (ε) of the composite superhydrophobic film was defined as ε = L/D. Based on this, the intrinsic contact angle was replaced by the apparent contact angle on SNP surface (θ 0 = ) and f c could be defined as following: f T = D2 + 4hD (L + D) = 1 + 4h/D 2 (ε + 1) 2 (2) The water drops (with diameter the stretched film when D 0 L ) turned to the Wenzel state from the apparent Cassie state on L md. In order to simplify calculating, another assumption was presented in here that stipulated the relationship as following: h = L md H = ε m H (3) According to the experimental data from SEM image analysis, we have selected H=2D in this paper. Thus, the contact angles (θ) of on the hybrid state film ( 0 < ε < m) could be calculated by following formula: cos θ = 1 + 8ε m (ε + 1) 2(cos θ 0 + 1) 1 (4) Here, we take a derivative with respect to strain (ε),

Accordingly, we draw the curve of the relationship between apparent contact angle (θ) and strain (ε) in Figure α using H = 2D, m = 2-4.
