/0/0 Part A General Population Sample Prepared by Survation on behalf of Lodestone
On behalf of Lodestone /0/,0 respondents Methodology Fieldwork Dates rd th September 0 Data Collection Method The survey was conducted via online panel. Invitations to complete surveys were sent out to a random sample of members of the panel. In addition, a number of members of the panel already known to be nonvoters from previous surveys were invited to the survey to increase the sample of nonvoters. Population Sampled All adults aged + in England, and. Sample Size,0* *as part of the sample was not a random sample of the population, but an exclusive sample of nonvoters, for margin of error purposes this should be considered an effective sample of,0 with the addition of bonus nonvoters who do not count towards reducing margin of error. Data Weighting Data were weighted to the profile of all adults aged +. Data were weighted by sex, age, region, household income and whether someone voted or not at the 00 general election. Targets for the weighted data were derived from Office of National Statistics 0 Census data; target for voters vs nonvoters was derived from the 00 Hansard Society Audit of Political Engagement. Margin of Error Because only a sample of the full population was interviewed, all results are subject to margin of error, meaning that not all differences are statistically significant. For example, in a question where 0% (the worst case scenario as far as margin of error is concerned) gave a particular answer, with an effective sample of,0 it is % certain that the true value will fall within the range of.% from the sample result. Subsamples from the crossbreaks will be subject to higher margin of error, conclusions drawn from crossbreaks with very small subsamples should be treated with caution. Prepared by Survation on behalf of Lodestone
On behalf of Lodestone /0/,0 respondents Question presentation All data tables shown in full below, in order and wording put to respondents. In all questions where the responses are a list of parties, names or statements, these will typically have been displayed to respondents in a randomising order. The only questions which would not have had randomising responses would be those in which there was a natural order to maintain e.g. a scale from strongly agree to strongly disagree, a list of numbers from 0 to 0 or questions which had factual rather than opinionrelated answers such as demographic information., know and Refused responses are not randomised. Not all questions have been asked to all respondents this is because they may be followon questions dependent on answers to previous questions. Lower response counts and Base description in tables should make clear where this has occurred. Questions that were openended and had verbatim responses only will not have data tables as no quantitative data was recorded. These questions and their responses will be shown in the supplementary Verbatim Responses document. Skipped question numbers should indicate in the tables where these questions were in the script. Data were analysed and weighted by Survation and presented by Patrick Briône and Damian Lyons Lowe. 55 /0/0 Part B NonVoters Sample Prepared by Survation on behalf of Lodestone
On behalf of Lodestone /0/,00 respondents Methodology Fieldwork Dates rd th September 0 Data Collection Method The survey was conducted via online panel. Invitations to complete surveys were sent out to a random sample of members of the panel. In addition, a number of members of the panel already known to be nonvoters from previous surveys were invited to the survey to increase the sample of nonvoters. Population Sampled All adults aged + in England, and who voted at the 00 general election. Sample Size,00* *Weighted figure from Part A was respondents, this was rebased back to,000 respondents for the Part B tables. Data Weighting Data for the full sample were weighted to the profile of all adults aged +. Data were weighted by sex, age, region, household income and whether someone voted or not at the 00 general election. Targets for the weighted data were derived from Office of National Statistics 0 Census data; target for voters vs nonvoters was derived from the 00 Hansard Society Audit of Political Engagement. Weighted data for nonvoters was extracted from the full sample and rebased back to,000 respondents. Margin of Error Because only a sample of the full population was interviewed, all results are subject to margin of error, meaning that not all differences are statistically significant. For example, in a question where 0% (the worst case scenario as far as margin of error is concerned) gave a particular answer, with an effective sample of,00 it is % certain that the true value will fall within the range of.% from the sample result. Subsamples from the crossbreaks will be subject to higher margin of error, conclusions drawn from crossbreaks with very small subsamples should be treated with caution. Prepared by Survation on behalf of Lodestone
On behalf of Lodestone /0/,00 respondents Question presentation All data tables shown in full below, in order and wording put to respondents.
