7 Beyond MFV in the MSSM Parameterize new flavor structure with squark mass insertions H u δ 23 LL b R δ ij LL = ( m2 LL) ij m 2 LL s L g M 3 g b R Also LL RR see, e.g Danger: constraints from B K γ and B φk S, but those carry additional powers of (m LL ) 2. 9 Relation to M s MSSM Another observable sensitive to δll 23 is M s in B s B s mixing ( ) 2 M s 3.5 TeV ( M ( s) SM + δ 23 2 LL) m hep-ph/ , hep-ph/ But: M s (new) / M s (SM) 20% large m or small δll. 23 Suppresses B s µµ and tightens tan β bound for given Br(B s µµ). 10 Relation to M s, MFV Minimal Flavor Violation: NP (not necessarily SUSY) carries the same flavor structure as the SM: V CKM. hep-ph/ : Ratios can reduce uncertainties from f Bd,s See also for an alternate approach Br(B s µµ) Br(B d µµ) = (non-perturbative) s τ(b s ) M s (non-perturbative) d τ(b d ) M d (non-pert.) is independent of f B and RG invariant UV model-dependence cancels in the ratio 10 / Flip Tanedo pt267@cornell.edu Flip s Beamer Theme 10/17 17

11 Relation to M s, simple models Alternate approach ( , ) H i g i bγ µ sv µ + g i lγ µ lv µ + M s operators expressed in terms of g i g j B µµ operators expressed in terms of g i g j Relations can reduce (sometimes eliminate) low-energy new physics parameters.
