More precisely, I am interested in the study of geometric properties of partially hyperbolic and non-uniformly hyperbolic systems, particularly the use of the geometric techniques for statistical properties of flows. Alvaro was then admitted to a PhD program in Sophia Antipolis Cedex, France. MATHEMATHEMATICS COMMUNICATION 1. Festival of Mathematics (27-30)/04/2017 Description of the event: The festival of mathematics was part of the Biennial of Methematics which is realized every two years by the Brazilian Mathematical Society. The aim was to organize mathematical events that reach a very broad audience. I gave talks at two different places in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, the title of my talk was what can we understand in chaotic systems? in which I explain to a very broad audience an interesting topoic in the field of dynamical systems which is the existence SRB measures for chaotic systems. The program run for 4 days and has registered about visitors. 2. AIMS-IMAGINARY / Maths Communication in Africa (02-04)/11/2015 Description of the event: This event was organized by the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS). It consists of exhibitions about mathematical objects and games at the institute and roadshow. During the roadshow, we travel with high school students into different cities in Senegal and meet the local high school students. My main contribution was to present some three dimensional objects that are printed at the ICTP Sci Fab Lab and explain the geometry behind these objects. This program has reached a total of 889 participants from 14 different high schools in three different regions of Senegal. REFERENCES 1.
