1 From: Heather Baker Subject: Lightning Ridge OFFER 29 Nov 2017 Date: November 29, 2017 at 12:04 AM To: Heather BAKER (work) Folk It s very difficult to get any Lightning Ridge rough so it s with pleasure that I offer you this material. The Seam Opal for $38, $120 and $210 are three very large stones, they don t come in nobbies and can t be described as black but they are certainly dark base. There is one black and white potch stone that will clean up nicely and look quite unique, we are going to give that to the first person who s us back with an order, it doesn t matter how much one spends, the first one will get that piece of black and white potch to work. They will make quite a few interesting stones from it. The $15/oz material needs tumbling to see what s in it, there is some quite bright colours, I m not saying a lot but it s only $45. The $48 material has been tumbled and has some nice blue greens, good for the beginner. There are some lovely Chips that we are offering at $54 and another lot of 4oz $240. There is a beautiful Rub there for $64, if the sand didn t run into it and it was that colour right through you would probably be talking about $2,500 for the piece but this is flawed with the sandstone. If you have a dremel it would be a good one to work on. The.6oz Offcuts, larger than chips, is very good value for only $100. The three Lightning Ridge matching blacks Electric Blue for only $137 is good value. The $145 Lightning Ridge 1oz, you will note there are 5 opals in there and each one will cut a stone. The smallest stone looks as if it might be the best one with nice green running in on a bit of black potch, that could come up and be enough to pay for the lot. The 5 faced stones at only $38 each is very good value. Someone will probably buy the lot but if you only want 1 or 2 and you can identify which ones they are we are happy for you to take them for $38 each. There is a beautiful pair of Electric Blues which would make a great pair of earrings only $315 pair and there is 31.04cts as they are in the rough but you will notice they have been rubbed so you can see exactly what you are getting. The $325 Seam opal is huge, it s 4 long, 1.7 wide and.75 thick. There is colour on both sides, if it runs through it and we can t say that it does, $325 would be cheap. The same could be said for the $335. The $652 piece is huge and as you can see is showing colour from all sides. I very much like the $900 rough that has been rubbed, there are a lot of stones there, very bright. There is one there weighing 3.26cts and is worth $450 alone and will cut a nice 10mm x 8mm. Last but not least is 23oz 19 stones Blues & Greens $2,300 which is only $100/oz. I imagine that a dealer will buy this and split the parcel, it could be someone who makes beads, does carvings or someone who just cuts cabochons. There is a lot of material but not a lot of money. I defy you to walk on the field today and find a rough parcel that hadn t been touched for only $2,300. Thanks for looking. Jump in quickly. I am sure there is something here that you will sit down and enjoy working. Murray PS if you want to see some cut stones and buy yourself a Christmas present or one for your wife let us know and we will send you some images, MW.
