8 BACKGROUND Southernmost exposure of Eastern Limb of the Bushveld Complex Hans Merensky explored and excavated adits during 1920s JCI drilled exploration holes between 1981 and 1999 Anglo Platinum embarked on major exploration and evaluation campaign in April 2001

9 Current Campaign: GEOLOGY Drilled 221 holes (plus deflections,) 111 kilometres Ground mapping (outcrop and structure), aerial photography, aeromagnetic survey structural mapping and modeling Mapping to date of 1000m of old Merensky adits Resource modeling and estimation

10 RESOURCE World class resource over 25 km on strike x 8 km on dip Both Merensky and UG2 reefs, dipping 9 O to west Favourable prill split : UG2: average 54% Pt Resource statements updated in annual report

11 MINING STRATEGY Phase 1: Der Brochen Mine UG2 reef commencing end 2006 Mine layout and stoping method as per Modikwa and Twickenham Phase 2: Booysendal Mine UG2 reef commencing end 2007 Booysendal mine layout in conjunction with JV partner
