introduces: ChemTag Tape on Floor After Chemical Exposure ChemTag Acid Water Alkali Visual Leak Detection Products After Chemical Exposure to ChemTag Rings on Pipe
Purpose If there is a chemical leak at the bottom of equipment or pipe fittings area, an engineer can visually confirm the type of chemical leak without using litmus paper 1 Small liquid leaks or fumes can be visually detected
Current Issues Litmus paper is used to determine if a leak is acidic or alkali Litmus paper has particle and fire issues 2 If Litmus Paper contacts Acid it will burn It is not easy to find exact leak point at the bottom of a tool It is difficult to detect small volume leaks It is almost impossible to detect fumes with leak detectors It is too expensive to install leak detectors in all areas It is very difficult to reach and confirm leak type at upper plenum areas
Tool Weak Points If a chemical leak occurs in the inside of a tool, litmus paper is used to check chemical type. 3 1 Extra time is needed to find the exact leak point. It is very dangerous for engineers to spend too much time identifying the type and exact leak point inside the tool because long exposures can cause health issues.
Acid Lines Weak Points 3 2 At the bottom of equipment and the upper area of plenums, there are many chemical pipe lines which are difficult to reach to check for leaks
Solution Install ChemTag leak finders in suspect areas Chemical leak locations and types can be found by visual inspection ChemTag visual leak finders can also detect chemical fumes and small leaks Secondary accidents can be prevented with quick action 4 ChemTag material is PVC which isn t flammable and doesn t generate particles.
Solution: ChemTag Tape ChemTag Tape allows an Engineer to confirm a chemical leak type by visual inspection ChemTag Tape Installed on Floor After Chemical Exposure Acid Water Alkali
Solution: ChemTag Rings ChemTag Visual Leak Finder C-Ring Testing Acid Water Alkali ChemTag Rings allows an Engineer to confirm a chemical leak type by visual inspection
