Set sleeve pattern for greater arm movement. Taped seams. Fabric Description Tychem CPF 3 - A multi-layer barrier film laminated to a durable 2.0 oz/yd 2 polypropylene substrate. Provides barrier against a broad range of chemicals. High strength and durability that provides protection in rigorous activities and when there is potential for chemical splash. Color: Tan Seam Type Taped - Both sewn and taped to provide strong chemical resistance against heavy liquid splashes and tough seam stress. A sewn seam is covered with a strip of compatible material by heatsealing. Specifications 1. The chemical suit shall be constructed from a multiple layer film based composite material laminated to a strong 2.0 oz/yd 2 polypropylene fabric. 2. All seams in the suit shall be stitched with polyester thread and covered with heat sealed tape on the outside of the suit. 3. The tape used to cover the seams shall be a film composite with equal to or greater chemical resistance than the base fabric. 4. The zipper shall be constructed of 100% polyester and shall be covered by a storm flap made of the base fabric. 5. The suit shall be constructed in a coverall design with attached hood and sock boots, and has elastic around hood and wrists. 6. The suit shall be light tan in color.
