2 EuCheMS Division on Chemistry and the Environment was formed as a FECS Working Party in Membership: 37 members from 34 countries. Countries represented: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany (2), Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy (2), Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain (2), Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom EuCheMS member non active: Austria, Belgium, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Ukraine. EuCheMS member countries not yet represented: Bulgaria, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia,Norway, Albania

11 Future Plans - To organise possibily joined events with other scientific societies (i.e SETAC-Europe, ACE) : Frontier Workshops. - To develop the journal ESPR (now under Springer). - To develop links with sister societies (such as DEC/ ACS; Asian federation FACS). - To re-develop more links with Industry ( CEFIC ) - To increase the membership ( missing countries or non active members) -To develop links with others EuCheMS divisions: Food Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Education, Green Chemistry, Radiochemistry.
