1 Gemini 2013 Year Ahead Compliments of Forecasters

2 Introduction: Firstly, yes there is going to be 2013, with all the hype and fear mongering about the 2012 Doomsday theories just that, with 2012 making way for a year that has a lot fewer challenges than previous years and where there is a lot more harmony between the planets, with some unlikely alliances. To start with, the early weeks and of months of 2013 will look a lot like the final months of 2012, with no dramatic shifts as we move out of one year and into the next. When I look to what kind of year we can expect I look to not only Jupiter and Saturn, the planets that bring the opportunities and challenges at any specific time, but the relationships they are forming to other planets. If Jupiter is on good terms with the other planets then his opportunities are experienced more intensely and if not, they can feel more restrained and blocked. On the other hand, if Saturn is on good terms with the other planets his challenges are more likely to be empowering rather than stressful, but on bad terms with the other planets and we can have a really challenging year. Saturn will spend the whole year in Scorpio, providing a very solid foundation and the confidence of knowing that the rules aren t going to change on this. Having returned on the 6 th October you've had time to adjust to Saturn s new position and as the saying goes, better the devil you know. Since mid 2010 we have had 3 very challenging Saturn years, with 2010 and 2011 the worst, with Saturn not on good terms with either Uranus over in opposing sign Aries and at a tough aspect to Pluto over in Capricorn, at a time when neither of them were getting on as well. While there will still be some tension between Pluto and Uranus, this again is the devil we know and only forming at isolated times in the year, is not enough to create the kind of challenging years we ve had in the past. Taking Saturn out of Libra and moving him into Scorpio has been enough to release a lot of tension and that alone would have set the scene for a much better year than in previous years. However, Saturn is swinging the pendulum the other way, forming some powerful partnerships this year that set the scene for an extremely good year, linking in with Neptune in Pisces and with Jupiter, once the planet of luck moves into Cancer on the 26 th June. Until returning to Cancer on the 26 th June Jupiter has to first wrap up his 12 month visit to Gemini, with a continuation of something that has been in play since June The sections below will detail which areas of your chart this will benefit, but that and the fact that we also have the North Node also spending the whole of 2013 and the early weeks of 2014 in Scorpio as well, puts Saturn in the middle of a huge support system. This goes beyond the specific areas of your chart where you'll find Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter in play, having a positive impact on the year as a whole. This sets 2013 aside from the very tough and challenging years that we have just been through and while there will always be challenges and life will always happen, this will be against the backdrop of a year that really has a good feel to it. As I have done in previous years I included a chapter for all 12 Houses, all active this year, some more than once, an indication of which months there ll be activity there and how active those months will be, as well as the significant dates. Even in an area of your chart that might be active all year things will be more active in some months than in others, with a quick glance at the top showing you when you need to be alert to the opportunities there are likely

3 to be during those times. I have inserted a page break between each of the 12 Houses so that when you print this out they become 12 Mini Reports. Each labelled, so that if at any time during the year you want to check what s happening on a particular front, you're able to go straight to that chapter without wading through pages of information that aren t relevant. Because of this, while this is a Report that you're able to read to get a sense of the year ahead, I hope that you ll continue to refer to it throughout the year, using it as a guide book. 4 Activity in Gemini Ruler of your 1 st House Conjunction, beginning of a New Cycle Directly in your Sign 1 st House rules: This puts you at the start of a new cycle, a time for new beginnings, initiating new journeys, having an eye on the future and for starting over, with a chance for a fresh start and new opportunities. Here you have a fresh slate, with a planetary cycle coming full circle, bringing a chance to branch out, start over and embrace a new chapter. With a planet in your Sign there is also some pressure, with a need to move on. Ruled by Mars, when the First House is active it is always a time of action and for new beginnings. Significant months: January February March April May June July December What s happening here? When you look to the main influence in any given year and especially to your opportunities and where there is the most potential for growth and development, then you have to look to Jupiter, planet of luck, good fortune and expansion. Jupiter will spend the first half of the year here in your sign, where he s been since June 2012, not only bringing you to your luckiest and most expansive year in over a decade, but to the start of a brand new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion. Here from June 2012 to June 2013 Jupiter, who visits your sign once every 12 years, bringing one Jupiter cycle to a close and beginning the next, is on a mission to bring you into the start of a new life cycle in a way that allows you to open new doors and plant seeds for the future. Much of what begins while Jupiter is in your sign won t bear fruit until some point over the next 12 years, but what you're doing while the planet of luck is here is to create something for the future to build on. Quite often it s only by looking back that you can appreciate what was and wasn t important, for you might plant dozens of seeds, without knowing which ones will flourish. So while this

5 is your luckiest year in over a decade it s not about winning lotto or sudden windfalls, but about making your own luck and especially when it comes to building and planting for the future. Jupiter is a larger than life planet, the largest planet in the solar system and everything he touches becomes larger than life and expands in both importance and the degree it influences your life. It s quite common for Jupiter s influence to make things appear worse before they get better, for as he expands what he touches, if things aren t going well when he gets here then things will seem worse. However, over time Jupiter is able to turn things around and as you move into 2013 you should have reached that point where you re able, if not to see any progress then at least get a better understanding of the potential that you have to work with. Jupiter has been in retrograde motion since the 5 th October 2012 so is working behind the scenes as you move into the New Year, giving you a chance to hold back. That s important because it s in May that things will really come together and when Jupiter will be working to bring everything home. This is when Jupiter will come into his own and while the 12 months that he ll spend here, from June 2012 to June 2013 is considered to be your luckiest year in over a decade, it really will come down to those final 2 months, May and June. This makes it important that you hold back and when it comes to initiating new or making any big commitments that you keep something in reserve, not in any hurry at all to get things moving or up to speed. In fact, with Jupiter turning direct on the 31 st January and having to come to a standstill in order to make his U turn, it could even feel like things have become stalled or seemingly moving backwards. Chances are, while this is in fact the luckiest area of your chart in the first half of 2013 it might seem anything but in the early weeks of the year, with a need for patience. After turning direct Jupiter will take several weeks to come back up to full speed, but it s from the 31 st January that your focus needs to be on the future and the road ahead, pacing yourself for May and June, which are potentially your most important months in over a decade, getting your new solar year off to a very powerful start. If these 2 months are show time, then everything else is a dress rehearsal. Things start to move and come together when Venus, planet of love, desire and attraction returns to your sign on the 10 th May. Venus is the planet of desire and attraction, in that she makes it easier to establish what you want and with the laws of attraction in effect to attract opportunities your way. When Venus gets together with Jupiter it is considered to be some of the most auspicious weeks of any year, with a clear sense of knowing what you want, luck on your side and the laws of attraction in effect. Venus will work with Jupiter until she leaves on the 3 rd June, with their alignment on the 28 th /29 th May considered one of the luckiest points of the year and one of the luckiest points in 12 years for you personally. It s not just Venus return that helps to bring Jupiter s year long mission home but the arrival of the rest of the faster moving planets, with what is normally the most important time of any given year for getting your new solar year off the ground, catching up with Jupiter s year long mission to build a strong foundation for the future to stand on, to plant new seeds and create new beginnings. Just 6 days after Venus returns to your sign, triggering your desires and expectations and the laws of attraction Mercury, planet of communication and smart thinking will return on the

6 16 th May. Where Venus works through the heart Mercury works through the mind, with his articulation and intellectual savvy giving you the intellectual savvy to think on your feet, open the communication lines and make the right choices, decisions and plans needed to put your new solar year on the right track. With Venus and Mercury here at the same time you'll have heart and mind on the same page, with a clear sense of what you want, the intellectual savvy to pull it off and luck on your side. Mercury is only making a flying visit and will leave on the 31 st May, the same day that Mars, planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos will return. It s during Mercury s alignment with Jupiter on the 27 th /28 th May that Mercury s intellectual savvy and Jupiter s lucky influence will come together to give you an edge in any talks, communication, discussions or decision making, with your mind open to new ideas and big thinking. The Sun will always return to your sign at around the same time every year, with his annual visit from the 21 st May to the 21 st June kicking off your birthday month and a brand new solar year. It was during the Sun s visit last year that Jupiter returned, with the Sun coming full circle in a way that is going to fully reveal just how much growth there has been over the last 12 months and how far you really have come. The Sun s alignment with Jupiter on the 19 th /20 th June, just 6 days before Jupiter is due to leave, will shine the solar spotlight directly into the heart of Jupiter s core, giving you a clear sense of how to play these final few days. With Venus leaving your sign on the 3 rd June, Mercury on the 31 st May and the Sun on the 21 st June they ll be gone before Jupiter wraps up his epic 12 month visit, with Mars the only planet staying on to not only make the final days count but set the scene for life after Jupiter. Mars returns to your sign on the 31 st May and will stay on until the 14 th July. This puts the warrior planet of the cosmos here during Jupiter s final weeks and for 18 days afterwards, giving you the passion and the fighting spirit to make these final weeks count and also to take you into the future, ensuring that after Jupiter leaves there is no sudden drop off in enthusiasm or motivation. It s after Venus and Mercury have left but while the Sun, Mars and Jupiter are working together to get your new solar year and both your new Mars and Jupiter cycles off the ground that a New Moon on the 9 th June will bring an opportunity for new beginnings and to make a commitment to the future, at a time when you have the recourses to claim the future in both hands, confident that you have what it takes to walk the talk and with luck on your side. This makes this one of the most powerful starts you'll get to a new solar year for many years to come and you know what they say about how a race is started! Once Mars leaves your sign on the 14 th July you'll be left on your own with no planetary activity here, for the first time since April 2012, yet with more than enough momentum to keep things on track and to continue to exploit the potential Jupiter created. Apart from the Moon s monthly visits the only other event this year will be a Full Moon on the 17 th December, which coming nearly 6 months after Jupiter left and at the halfway point of your solar year will give you a chance to look back at the promises and intentions you moved into the year with, challenge your excuses and to nudge things back on track.

7 Activity in Cancer Ruler of your 2 nd House Income, Earnings and Self Value 2 nd House rules: The ancients called this the House of earned income and self value and rules your income, earnings, your sense of self value, entitlement, believing in yourself, standing up for your rights, a sense of expectation, entitlement and indulgence. Ruled by Venus, the Second House is all about what you value and how you set your priorities, not only on the income front but across all the currencies in your life. This is an abundant area of your chart where there is often a gain in income or material resources. Ruled by Venus, the guiding principles here are desire, higher expectations and the laws of attraction. Significant months: January May June July August September October November December What s happening here? It s not until midyear that things will start to move on the income front, which is usually the case in any year, except this year they ll keep moving and building until they reach a point where this will become the luckiest and most expansive area of your chart, taking you from mid 2013 to mid Things start to move when Mercury, planet of communication and smart thinking returns to your income sector on the 31 st May, for what is usually a 2 week visit that gives you a smart head for money. However, Mercury won t leave until the 9 th August, with a retrograde phase

8 from the 27 th June to the 21 st July giving you a chance to spend extra time to play things carefully, to pursue second chances or spend time back at the drawing board. Venus, planet of money, desire and attraction will return to your income sector on the 3 rd June, just 4 days behind Mercury and while he s giving you a smart head for money Venus is here to engage your heart, your desires and expectations and to trigger the laws of attraction. It s not uncommon to have Mercury and Venus in your income sector at the same time, especially midyear, but when their visits do coincide it gives you a chance to put heart and mind on the same page and to know what you want and how to make it happen. With Mercury giving you a smart head for money and Venus triggering the laws of attraction, this will usually be some of the most potentially lucrative weeks in any year. Venus will only spend 25 days in your income sector, but before she leaves on the 28 th June everything will change, with your heart and your desires engaged, a strong sense of entitlement and the laws of attraction in effect as this shifts from an annual update to something much more. The reason why June and July are always the most active months of any year for income matters is that the Sun will move through your income sector from the 21 st June to the 22 nd July, as he does at this time every year. When the Sun returns he ll find Mercury and Venus already here, your heart and mind already engaged and on the same page. Yet it s just 2 days before Venus is due to leave that everything changes with Jupiter, planet of luck and expectation s return on the 26 th June, for the first time since August In any other year having the Sun, Mercury and Venus in your income sector would have made this the most active and most important point in the year for income matters, but Jupiter s return changes everything, making them simply the warm up act for something much bigger and changing this from an important point in the year to the most important point in over a decade. Jupiter will spend from the 26 th June 2013 to the 16 th July 2014 here in your income sector, making this the luckiest and most expansive income year in over a decade. While Mars will stay on in your sign to ensure there is no sudden drop off after Jupiter leaves, he too will return to your income sector on the 14 th July. In your sign Mars will return to help you wrap things up, but here the warrior planet of the cosmos has returned to get this new Jupiter era off the ground and where he was the only planet not to align with Jupiter in your sign, he is now the only planet that will align with him, this year anyway. It s been 11 years since Mars and Jupiter have aligned in your income sector, but when they do on the 21 st /22 nd July all of Mars passions and fighting spirit will fuse with Jupiter s lucky and expansive forces, turning you into a magnet for opportunities and potential, giving you a cause to fight for and the confidence of knowing that you have luck on your side. While Mercury will get the ball rolling and a New Moon on the 8 th July will give you a chance to commit to the future and open new doors, it s Mars and Jupiter s alignment that will really get the ball rolling. Mercury will turn direct on the 21 st July, ending his retrograde phase just as Mars and Jupiter, the planets of success and luck come together, so therefore as the tide is turning, making this one of 2013 s major turning points and one of the most important moments on

9 the income front in over a decade. This is less than 4 weeks after Jupiter s return to your income sector on the 26 th June, giving you the kind of traction in just a few weeks that Jupiter might normally take months to achieve. While Mercury will leave your income sector on the 9 th August and Mars on the 28th August, finally leaving Jupiter on his own, by then Jupiter will have been here for just over 2 months. During that time the heavens will have thrown everything they have into getting things up to speed and it will then be more about keeping the momentum going. Jupiter will spend from the 7 th November 2013 to the 6 th March 2014 in retrograde motion, which is when you ll have a chance to pull back and process all that has been triggered and work behind the scenes to capitalise on what is already in motion, ready for the final run home when the faster moving planets return again in June 2014, by which point you'll be ready to tie up loose ends and bring things home. However, a lot of water is set to pass under the bridge before then. One thing you do need to be aware of is that when things are especially active in June, July and August there may be some pressure, however only at very specific times and because this is likely to bring wakeup calls, making sure you're not asleep at the wheel at what is your most auspicious point in over a decade for income matters and opportunities but also for fuelling a sense of confidence and entitlement across all the currencies in your life, this is more likely to work to your advantage. Any pressure will be coming from the fact that as each planet moves into and through your income sector this will put them in opposition with Pluto, over in your financial sector. Mercury will move into opposition with Pluto on the 7 th /8 th June, Venus on the 11 th /12 th June, the Sun on the 2 nd /3 rd July, Mars on the 27 th /28 th July and Jupiter on the 6 th /11 th August. However, this is countered by some special alignments between Venus, Mercury, Mars and the Sun at the same time, as well as support from some very powerful forces in your work sector and career sector. Any tension will keep you on your toes, forcing you to dig deeper and give more.

10 Activity in Leo Ruler of your 3 rd House Communication, Smart, Intellectual thinking the conscious Mind 3 rd House rules: This is the part of your chart that rules your communications, smart thinking, intelligence, mental focus, decisions and both written and spoken language. Ruled by Mercury, this is a smart and intellectually savvy part of your chart that has an impact across the board, impacting every area of your chart and your life. You're smarter, communication becomes more important, you re more articulate, able to problem solve and remain more mentally focused when there is planetary activity in your Third House. Significant months: January June July August What s happening here? When you don t have major planetary activity in an area of your chart you don t have the long term influence and you get a spike at a certain time of year. This doesn t make these areas any less important, which your communication sector is one of and if anything it makes it more important, especially while there is activity here. When you have Jupiter in an area of your chart for 12 months and the outer planets for even longer, you can afford to fall asleep at the wheel or become distracted for several months and then catch up, but not when an area of your chart is only active for a short period of time and especially when there is likely to be a lot of distractions, which is definitely happening here. You ve had no planetary activity in your communication sector since Venus left on the 3 rd October 2012, with only the Moon s monthly visits to keep things on track. This makes the Full Moon here on the 27 th January extra significant, for falling halfway between the Sun s last visit and the next and on your own for so long this will give you something to hang onto for guidance, direction and as an important waypoint and at a fairly early point in the year, a chance to get your bearings. It will be another 5 months before the first planet reaches your

11 communication sector, so paying attention to all that this Full Moon brings to a head is a must. Falling halfway between the Sun s last visit and the next and therefore between the last period of significant activity and the next, this gives you a chance to look back at where you've been and forward to where you're going. This is a Full Moon that is particularly good at clearing the air and getting unsaid words out in the open, especially if a dearth of cosmic support has let your communications slide. After this, apart from the Moon s monthly visits you really are on your own and it will stay that way until Venus, planet of love returns on the 28 th June. As the first planet to reach your communication sector for the year Venus will set the scene for your experiences here this year, as well as giving your heart the first voice and a chance to put heart and mind on the same page. Because Mercury will spend extra time in your income sector, with his retrograde phase there holding him back, Venus will spend the majority of her time in your communication sector on her own, which is going to be a real advantage. Without the Sun s reality checks and Mercury s tendency to over think things your heart is able to take charge and establish itself, giving your heart extra time to find its voice and to channel this advantage into your personal communications. This coincides with Jupiter s early weeks in your income sector, so without your heart shifting its focus here this could easily have flown under the radar. However, after each planet works with Jupiter to help get things up to speed on the income front, they ll eventually return here. Venus will spend from the 28 th June to the 23 rd July in your communication sector, giving your heart a voice, putting heart and mind on the same page and a chance to wear your heart on your sleeve, but it s only during her last full day here that the Sun will return, on the 22 nd July. This is such a brief encounter that the Sun s transparency, mental clarity and call for authenticity in all your communications will have little impact on Venus, who has said all she needs to say by that point, so the less than 24 hours they ll spend together is more a handover, ensuring that things don t go flat and there is no fall off. The Sun will get to spend a few weeks on his own, performing his annual reality checks, throwing the solar spotlight on your communications, bringing a call for authenticity and bringing the kind of mental clarity that makes it hard for mental fog or indecision to settle. It s during this time, when the Sun is on his own that a New Moon on the 7 th August creates an opportunity for new beginnings, a fresh start and to make a commitment to the future, knowing that this is still a work in progress. With the Sun not leaving your communication sector until the 23 rd August he ll still be here when Mercury, the planet of communication and smart thinking returns on the 9 th August. It s Mercury s intellectual savvy and articulation and the Sun s transparency and call for authenticity that make these some of the best weeks of the year for all your communications, but also for working smarter, for anything that will benefit from the intellectual savvy Mercury brings into play and where being able to think on your feet is an advantage. This is the smartest and most intellectually savvy part of your chart and Mercury is the smartest and most intellectually savvy planet in the solar system and when they come together, especially with the Sun s mental clarity and authenticity, this brings you to your smartest and most switched on point of the year. Chances are your IQ will shoot up and without a doubt, these are the best weeks of the year for all your communications, for decision making or anything that requires mental acumen and savvy.

12 With Mercury leaving your communication sector on the 24 th August, the day after the Sun, they ll work together as a team to clear your mind and to make this an auspicious day for talks and for making choices, decisions and plans with confidence. The Sun and Mercury s departure will leave your communication sector temporarily empty, but not for long with Mars, planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos returning from the 28 th August to the 16 th October. This is Mars first visit to your communication sector since October/November 2011, with passion and a fighting spirit allowing you to push through any communication barriers and at the same time creates a bold and creative way of thinking that turns you into a creative genius.

13 Activity in Virgo Ruler of your 4 th House Home, Family and Property 4 th House rules: The Fourth House rules all things related to home, family, property, your lifestyle, home life and all things domestic, including your routines, rituals and daily habits. It also rules your roots, your heritage, parents, ancestry and where you come from. These are the foundations of your life, the basic day to day routines that allow you to function in an often confusing world, your soft place to fall, your sanctuary and your refuge. Ruled by the Moon, your emotions often come into play here, regardless of the planets involved and often some pressure or challenges. Significant months: February July August September October November December What s happening here? After Mars 8 month visit to your home and family sector from November 2011 to July 2012 brought an extreme amount of focus onto your home and family situation and matters last year, sometimes for all the wrong reasons and with some real work/life balance challenges at times, things are a lot quieter here this year, at least when looking at the year as a whole. Apart from the Full Moon in your home and family sector on the 26 th February you ll have to wait until July for your first planetary activity here, as is more often the case than not. This makes this Full Moon an important waypoint, giving you a chance to look back on all that played out or came to a head in 2012 and to start looking ahead to what the future holds. Falling halfway between the Sun s last visit to your home and family sector and the next, this

14 is both a chance to bring anything building since his last visit to a head or fruition and to nudge things onto the path they ll take in the future. Apart from this Full Moon all that you will have to keep things on track on the home, family and/or property fronts are the Moon s monthly visits, anything already in motion and past experience. While the Sun will move through your home and family sector from the 23 rd August to the 23 rd September, as he does at this time every year, things will actually kick off a month earlier. By this point in the year Venus, who begins the year trailing behind the Sun, Mercury and Mars will have over taken each in turn, not only putting her in the lead by the time she reaches your home and family sector, by a full month but allowing her to spend all her time here on her own, which is more rare than you might think. With Mercury still trailing behind, due to his retrograde phase midyear he won t return to your home and family sector until after Venus has, giving the planet of desire and attraction a clear run. Venus will spend from the 23 rd July to the 17 th August on her own in your home and family sector, evoking your desires and expectations, triggering the laws of attraction and giving your heart a voice, making these some of the most special weeks of the year for home and family matters and for gaining a clear sense of what you want, even if the follow through comes later. While Venus will visit around this time every year, it s either at the same time as the Sun and Mercury or as was the case last year after they have already moved through, having to fight through their more realistic and intellectual influence to let your heart be heard. Yet Venus returns to a blank canvas and as she was the last planet to leave your home and family sector last year, apart from the Moon she s had the last say in 2012 and the first say in 2013, give your heart a powerful voice here. With the Sun returning to your home and family sector from the 23 rd August to the 23 rd September and Mercury from the 24 th August to the 9 th September Mercury, planet of communication s stay is completely enclosed within the Sun s month long visit, with the two going hand in hand. During the Sun s annual visit to your home and family sector he puts the solar spotlight on your home and family situation, bringing the kind of reality checks and transparency that gives you a chance to focus on what is, allowing you to see things clearly and objectively. Mercury, on the other hand, gives you the intellectual savvy and articulation to ensure the communication lines are open and to make the right choices, decisions and plans. Together with the Sun this will create some of the most important weeks of the year for taking a more proactive approach to home and family matters and after Venus spent time establishing what you want, a chance to walk the talk. It s during this time that a New Moon on the 5 th September will create an opportunity for new beginnings, a fresh start and a chance to open new doors. By that point Venus will have already had a major influence on things and will be the prism that you view your home and family situation and matters through. While the Sun and Mercury can work on the when, where and how it s the clear sense of knowing what you want that Venus will leave you with that makes it a lot easier to narrow in on exactly what you need to be doing. It s said that the greater part of getting what you want is knowing what you want and that s what Venus will accomplish during her short visit this year, opening the door to a period of home, family and/or property opportunities and development that won t run its course until the final weeks of the year.

15 While Venus will get the ball rolling with her return on the 23 rd July and the Sun will wrap things up when he leaves on the 23 rd September, exactly 2 months later, that won t be quite the end of things, with the door not yet closed and everything not yet run its course. That s because on the 16 th October, over 3 weeks after the Sun has moved on Mars, planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos will finally return. Earlier in the year Mars was right in the thick of things, moving through at the same time as the Sun, Mercury and Venus, who always travel as a pack. However, this is not what it seems and as Mars visits each area of your chart on average once every 2 years the Sun, Mercury and Venus once a year, they were together because they were lapping him, catching up with the much slower Mars and passing, to a point where by the time you reach October he s already dropping back in the field. Where Venus will get to spend her whole visit to your home and family sector on her own, ensuring that your heart and your desires and expectations get the first say, it s Mars and his passions and fighting spirit that will get the final say, spending his whole visit from the 16 th October to the 8 th December on his own, apart from during the Moon s monthly visits. With Venus, Mercury and the Sun having already got the ball rolling and having already brought all the planetary activity that you would normally expect in a year, this is a real bonus. As the Sun only leaves 3 weeks earlier things will still be fresh, with the gap having given things a chance to settle. When Mars returns you'll find yourself all fired up again and as he won t leave until the 8 th December, this will see you get your second wind as you move into the final months of the year. Expect these to be very successful, driven and motivated months, where you're able to accomplish a lot and get a lot done on the home, family and/or property fronts. Saturn is already a challenging planet, for the hard taskmaster of the cosmos is charged with keeping things in order and as he only visits an area of your chart once every 30 years, he takes his job seriously. What made Saturn s time in your romantic and creative sector even more severe than it should have been were the tough aspects this put him to planets in other areas of your chart, creating challenges that didn t just pass in a few days but went on for weeks, if not months. Those challenges came to an end when Saturn left your romantic and creative sector in October 2012, but chances are things are still a little sensitive and trigger happy, not taking much to push old buttons and reveal where there are still scars. That won t happen overnight, but Saturn s ultimate aim was to give you your power back, with past challenges giving you and your heart a lot more strength, endurance and fortitude than you realise. What this has left you with is a clear sense of what you want and how to take your power back and when the next opportunity comes along, you'll be ready to seize it in both hands. Things will remain fairly quiet on the romantic and creative front and with matters of the heart in general, or for some matters to do with children until a Full Moon here on the 27 th March. However, with so much cosmic impact over recent years quiet is unlikely to mean that nothing is happening, only that you have a chance to play things in your own way and in your own time, learning from the past. This Full Moon is the first since Saturn left and while this is also the Full Moon that falls halfway between the Sun s last visit and the next, acting as an important waypoint, this is likely to act as a trigger for all that Saturn invested over recent years. Because of that you can expect this to pack a lot more punch than the Full Moon that will always fall here, at around this time every year and known as a Lovers Moon because of the sentiments it triggers. Because of the challenges of the past this may push some buttons and evoke some old triggers, which could temporarily make things seem worse than they are. This makes it important to look at where your responses are coming from and if they come from the past to assume that they re old triggers. However don t dismiss them for this will be an opportunity to resolve things. More importantly this will give anything building behind the scenes an outlet, with the potential to bring matters of the heart to a head or to a tipping or turning point. After that things will go quiet, as you adjust back into the natural rhythm of the year. Your romantic and creative sector will always be more active in September/October each year, when the Sun moves through and brings Venus and Mercury with him, with the last few years more an aberration from the norm. This makes the first half of the year more about getting back into that natural pattern, not back into an old normal before Saturn came along but a new normal, after Saturn has been and now that you have the strength, endurance, fortitude and experience this has left you with. Things will start to pick up for the year when Venus returns on the 17 th August, with her stay here until the 11 th September giving you a chance to listen to your heart, bring your personal, romantic and creative desires and expectations up to speed and to work with the laws of attraction Venus triggers. Once again, because of her speed Venus is moving ahead of the other planets, returning here first and spending almost the whole time on her own, giving you a chance to put your heart first. Venus, planet of love was the last to leave your romantic and creative sector in 2012, but while she spent her whole time on her own then, there was so much residual energy in the air from Saturn and the other planets that her voice was anything but the only voice in your ear. That won t be the case when she returns, creating the potential for some very special weeks on the romantic fronts, for all things creative, for matters of the heart or for anything involving children or even pregnancy for some.

18 Mercury, held back by his retrograde phase midyear, will return to your romantic and creative sector from the 9 th September to the 30 th September, returning just 2 days before Venus is due to leave. With the focus shifting from Venus heart ruled focus onto Mercury s more head and intellectual focus, this gives you a short window of opportunity, between Mercury s return on the 9 th September and Venus departure on the 11 th September where you ll have heart and mind on the same page, giving you a chance to give your heart a voice. It s while Mercury, planet of communication is still here, with his annual visit giving you a chance to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page that the Sun will return, for his annual visit from the 23 rd September to the 23 rd October. The Sun will always visit your romantic and creative sector at this time of year, throwing the solar spotlight on your heart and on romantic and creative matters, bringing the kind of transparency and objectivity that allows you to see things for what they are, as well as giving you the vision and the confidence to move forward, with the path ahead illuminated. While Venus will have moved on by then her romantic desires and expectations will still be playing an important role in shaping things from here on, with Mercury s ability to give your heart a voice and the Sun s authenticity tying all the different pieces together. It s after Mercury leaves that a New Moon on the 5 th October creates an opportunity for new beginnings, a fresh start and to make a commitment to the future. However, don t be surprised if even after the Sun leaves on the 23 rd October that things still feel up in the air or uncompleted, with the Sun deliberately leaving the door open and the story unfinished. It s on the 8 th December, two months after all the planetary activity for the year has supposedly run its course that Mars, planet of passion finally arrives, in a way that is better late than never. The planet of passion last visited your romantic and creative sector in July/August 2012, just as Saturn was moving into his final and most urgent months and when tension was once more rising. Because the Sun, Mercury and Venus will have all moved through since then Mars is likely to find a very different landscape to the one he left last August, with the challenges of the past purged but the enormous strength and resilience gained better appreciated. Here Mars is able to help you to flex your muscles, evoking your romantic and creative passions and fighting spirit, helping to capitalise on all that you ve learned and gained from the past and from all the new seeds that the Sun, Mercury and Venus have planted this year. While Mars will only appear on the scene in the closing weeks of 2013 and his greatest influence

My personal belief is, that without Saturn and the challenges of the past you wouldn t be ready for the 8 months of romantic and creative passions this will open the door to. It s the work focus of the past that makes way for the pleasures of the future, with the universe figuring they owe you one.

20 Activity in Scorpio Ruler of your 6 th House Work, Employment and Health 6 th House rules: The ancients called this the House of Service to others. This is the busiest part of your chart, where the focus is on work, employment, service, duty, responsibility, hard work, productivity, health, time management and self sacrifice, whether in paid or unpaid service. Here the focus is on doing what has to been done now, rather than putting things off, bringing a sense that you can rest later. When your Sixth House is active you will be busy, with a lot on your plate and a lot of demands on your time. This is also a time to address any health, wellbeing, time management and energy issues. Ruled by Mercury in his most practical form, this is all about productivity. While Jupiter will divide his time, spending the first half of the year in your sign and the second half in your income sector Saturn, the other main influence able to shape the makeup of any particular year, will spend the whole year here in your work sector and the majority of 2014 and 2015 as well. Saturn first returned to your work sector on the 6 th October 2012, for what is his first visit since 1985, with the hard taskmaster of the cosmos settling on this area of your chart and

21 your life for extra attention. Here Saturn demands integrity, your full attention and that you do things the right way, which is often the most challenging way. Saturn wouldn t be doing his job if he didn t create challenges for he holds us to a higher standard, expecting that we will rise to the occasion when the bar is raised and forcing us to give more than we realised we were capable of, therefore achieving more. Yet by Saturn standards and especially compared to previous years when Saturn was not on good terms with the other planets, here his influence is being softened by two different situations. The first situation is from within your work sector, for on the 30 th August 2012 the North Node moved here, which is why we had a total solar eclipse here in November The North Node is a very auspicious force, providing a sense of direction and a clear path towards our full potential. Not a cosmic body the North Node is instead the part of the heavens where the Earth s orbit around the Sun is intersected by the Moon s orbit around the Earth. The Earth and Moon s orbits are off centre by around 5 degrees, which is why every Full and New Moon aren t lunar and solar eclipses. But twice a year those orbits intersect and it s where that intersection occurs that the lunar nodes are created, with the North Node here in your work sector and the South Node on the opposite side of the sky in a more intuitive, reflective and internally focused part of your chart. This is quite literally the meeting place between the Earth and Moon, one that shifts signs every 18 months. The North Node is a very auspicious force, similar in influence to Jupiter because it denotes good fortune, mainly by drawing you towards your destiny and intended path and that s especially so when a lunar or solar eclipse falls here. This is softening Saturn s often harsh approach, for you can see what you're striving for, making the sacrifices Saturn demands easier to work with, for you can see the point to it and what you're able to gain. If the North Node convinces you that you can reach the stars, then Saturn is the force that allows you to roll up your sleeves and build the staircase that will get you there. Without the North Node Saturn s tasks would seem laborious and without Saturn the North Node could provide a sense of what s possible, but not necessarily the means to get you there. The other force softening Saturn s influence is direct support from Neptune in your career sector and from Jupiter, when he returns to your income sector on the 26 th June. This is creating some real confidence and motivation, which in turn makes it easy to welcome Saturn s hard and pedantic ways, seeing the importance of giving it your all and then some. In Saturn s early days in your work sector he enjoyed the support of the Sun, Mercury and Venus and from Mars who left on Saturn s first full day, ensuring that you had the means to get things up to speed. But since Venus left on the 16 th December 2012 Saturn and the North Node have been on their own and it will stay that way until Venus returns on the 11 th September. With Saturn in retrograde motion from the 19 th February to the 8 th July you even have a chance to work behind the scenes. Saturn won t wrap up his visit to your work sector until September 2015, though he will leave for a few months in 2014 and throughout his time he ll retrograde once a year, always when the Sun is on the opposite side of the sky and therefore when things are less active. With Saturn here for so long you could never keep his relentless pace up full time, with his retrograde phase a mandatory rest phase when you get to pull back and work with what is already on the table, working behind the scenes and processing things to date, taking the time to make sense of where you've been.

22 However, because the North Node is here you won t lose sight of the future and where you're going, with the North Node keeping your focus on the future clear while Saturn brings hindsight into play. It s during Saturn s retrograde phase that you ll have a Full Moon here on the 26 th April, which because the North Node is here is no ordinary Full Moon but a lunar eclipse. This is a partial lunar eclipse and nothing near as spectacular as last November s total solar eclipse, but is just as potent. As well as bringing anything building behind the scenes to a head or to a tipping or turning point, this will bring the element of fate into play. With the North Node here until the 19 th February 2014 this gravitational pull towards the future will remain in force and the eclipses will continue. Things will start to move when Saturn comes out of hibernation when he turns direct on the 8 th July, however with Venus not returning until the 11 th September you have a few months to slowly let things come back up to speed, with a reminder that Saturn is here for the long haul. It s in his early days in direct motion that Saturn will receive support from outside forces, moving into an especially auspicious grand trine (the most positive of all astrological aspects) with Jupiter and Neptune on the 16 th /18 th July. With Saturn in your work sector, Neptune in your career sector and Jupiter in your income sector this will impact all three areas of your chart and especially when they come together, making these especially auspicious days for professional and income matters, potential and opportunities. When Venus returns on the 11 th September this will be her second encounter with Saturn here, having returned after he arrived in As Venus comes full circle, as well as being the last planet to have contact with Saturn last year she ll be the first planet to have contact this year, with her desires and expectations fusing with Saturn s strength and determination and the North Node s sense of direction to create a clear sense of what you want, a clear pathway to success and the discipline and determination to stay the course, doing whatever it takes for as long as it takes. Because Saturn is here Venus won t spend any time on her own, but as the Sun won t return until after she leaves on the 8 th October and Mercury not until her final days, she ll have the full attention of both Saturn and the North Node, the forces that are keeping things on track and are giving you the strength and determination to make things happen. Venus is able to capitalise on that and while the few weeks she spends here each year are always the best in any given year for work matters and opportunities, the planet of desire and attraction will fuse with Saturn and North Node energy to give this a lot more clout, as well as triggering the laws of attraction. When Venus aligns with Saturn and the North Node, which she ll do at the same time, this will bring you a strong sense of what you want, with the power to move mountains if you have to. This happens at what will also be an auspicious time, creating not only some of the most powerful days of the year for matters on the work front, but in decades and not just here. It all comes to pass because while Saturn is in your work sector from October 2012 to September 2015 and the North Node is here from August 2012 to February 2015, they will only align once. Saturn starts at one end of your work sector and the North Node is at the other, so they will meet in the middle, which is when everything will come together. That happens from the 11 th September to the 21 st September, a 10 day period that could rewrite your destiny. For the 11 th September is the day that Venus returns to your work sector,

23 setting the scene for a very rare triple Venus/Saturn/North Node conjunction on the 18 th /19 th September. Mercury, planet of communication and smart thinking will move through your work sector from the 30 th September to the 5 th December, once more extending his normal 2 week visit out to more than 2 months, with his retrograde phase from the 21 st October to the 11 th November giving you a chance to work smarter and provide the intellectual savvy that will give you an edge in any talks, interviews, choices, decisions and plans. This is the third and final Mercury retrograde phase of 2013 and each has fallen in the triad of signs that are working closely together this year, which are your work, income and career sectors. These are the 3 areas that the very rare Saturn/Jupiter/Neptune grand trine will bring together just days before Mercury returns, with Mercury s retrograde phases all falling in not only individually significant areas of your chart but the 3 areas that are working closely together, buying you extra time to work with Mercury s intellectual savvy to work smarter, retrace your steps if necessary and to spend extra time at the drawing board. While Venus will be long gone by the time the Sun moves through from the 23 rd October to the 22 nd November her desires and expectations will still be influencing things, with Venus the first to get a word in both Saturn and the North Node s ear. It s while the Sun is here that you'll have a New Moon on the 4 th November, but because of the North Node s presence this will not be an ordinary New Moon or even an ordinary solar eclipse, but instead a fairly rare hybrid solar eclipse. While we have a solar eclipse twice a year and a total solar eclipse once every 18 months, the last hybrid solar eclipse was in 2005, 8 years earlier. This will mark a time of major new beginnings, with a lot of what Saturn, the North Node and the other planets have been working towards all coming to a head. Venus will move through your work sector from the 11 th September to the 8 th October, the Sun from the 23 rd October to the 22 nd November and Mercury from the 21 st October to the 11 th November, making a period from the 11 th September to the 22 nd November, the high point of a year where the normal level of activity is already at the highest point it s been at in decades and while this is when most things are likely to come together, it s far from the end of the story. This is one story that won t end until Saturn finally leaves in September 2015.

24 Activity in Sagittarius Ruler of your 7 th House Relationships, Opposition Half Way Point in a Cycle 7 th House rules: On one hand this is the area of your chart that rules relationships, unions, partnerships and marriage. The Seventh House has two specific roles. On one hand this is your relationship sector, so the focus is on your relationships. The bar is raised, more will be required from you and there is likely to be some pressure. Secondly this puts any planet in your opposing Sign and puts you at the halfway point of a current planetary cycle, bringing personal as well as relationship checks and balances. Ruled by Venus, you personal relationships benefit most when there is planetary activity here. Significant months: May October November December What s happening here? While the planetary activity here in your relationship sector is fairly low key this year, in that you won t even have Mars move through and only the Sun, Mercury and Venus, which is the bare minimum, there is a reminder earlier in the year of the legacy of the past and as you move into the New Year 2012 s story is still unfolding. The reminder of the past s legacy comes in the form of a lunar eclipse in your relationship sector on the 25 th May. While you will always get a Full Moon here at some point during your birthday month each year, halfway between the Sun s last visit to your relationship sector and the next, with a chance to bring anything building since the last visit to a head or to a tipping or turning point and to put you on the right track for his next visit, by rights this shouldn t be a lunar eclipse, which usually occurs because one of the lunar nodes are here. That s not the case here, but as the North Node only left your relationship sector in August 2012 this Full Moon falls close enough to the North Node, which is now in your work sector to create a lunar eclipse, bringing a reminder of the sense of direction gained over recent years. While the Sun will always leave your relationship sector on or around the 22 nd December each year and can therefore never still be here when you move into the New Year, it s not

25 uncommon to find either Mercury or Venus still here, not yet finished their annual visit. However, it is fairly rare to have both Venus and Mercury still here and the last time that happened was in However, with Mercury leaving on the 1 st January and Venus on the 9 th January, while you'll move into the New Year with heart and mind on the same page, this is more a case of wrapping things up for Yet this does give you a chance to move into the New Year with the communication lines open and a clear sense of knowing what you want from your relationships and what they need from you Make the most of this for once Venus leaves on the 9 th January you ll be on your own, apart from the Moon s monthly visits until Venus returns on the 8 th October, almost 9 months to the day after she left. Considering the 13 months that it took her to return in 2012, this is an exceptionally short turn around and is a sign that Venus is nearing her maximum speed. This is the shortest possible gap between one visit and the next and with your heart and your relationship desires and expectations having the final say in the early days of the year, as you wrap things up for 2012 and then the first say when things pick up again in October 2013 this gives Venus a lot of influence this year. In an area of your chart where there are other major and more powerful forces in play things might have gone unnoticed, but apart from Mercury s visit from the 5 th December to the 25 th December and the Sun s from the 22 nd November to the 22 nd December you have no other planetary activity here this year. This makes this a fairly quiet year on the relationship front, making it especially easy for Venus voice to be heard. This is especially so as Venus visit, from the 8 th October to the 5 th November ends a full month before Mercury even gets here and before you have a chance to over think things. This not only makes her voice clear while she s here but for a month afterwards, allowing you to cement your relationship desires and expectations, once more gaining a clear sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you before the forces that will help you to walk the talk arrive. It s while Mercury is here that you'll have the support and the resources to ensure that the communication lines are open. The Sun will always visit your relationship sector at this time of year, throwing the solar spotlight on your relationship situation and matters, providing transparency and objectivity and most of all a call for authenticity. The real danger I see here is that things could fly under the radar, for on the surface this is simply a low key year for relationship matters, with the bare minimum of planetary support to keep things in motion. But with Saturn returning in December 2014 there are big developments just a year after the Sun leaves, with a low key chance to work on your own terms and in your own way to put things on the track you want them to continue on.

26 Activity in Capricorn Ruler of your 8 th House Finances, Passion, Transformation and Change 8 th House rules: The ancients called this the House of Other People s Money and today rules money, passion, change and transformation. While the Second House rules your income the Eighth House rules your financial situation as a whole, including debts, loans, funding and even inheritances. Ruled by Pluto the Eighth House also rules our deep drives and urges and also the concept of change, coming from a cycle of death and rebirth, which is the cycle of life. Significant months: January February March April May June July August September October November December What s happening here? While you have other areas of your chart that are active for only a few months out of each year and others where things are active all year, but only for a year or two the outer planets fall into a very different category. Because the outer planets (Pluto, Neptune and Uranus) are so far from the Sun and their orbits so long and slow they spend many, many years in one areas of your chart, which is why they are sometimes referred to as the generational planets,

27 with everyone born in the same generation most likely having these outer planet in the same sign. That s the case for Pluto, who first returned to your financial sector in 2008 and won t leave until 2024, making this his home for 16 years. That s a long time for a planet to be continuously active and making an impact, which is why for the most part you won t even notice that he s here. Not only has Pluto s presence in your financial sector become the new normal, unless triggered by the faster moving planets when they move through or by planets that move into opposition he ll remain in the background, a sleeping dog only coming to life when something awakens him. That is definitely the case when Pluto is in retrograde motion, with April to September each year his hibernation phase, giving you a chance to pull right back and to focus on the road behind. However, as you move into 2013 Pluto, planet of change and revolution is anything but a sleeping dog and he s not only awake, someone s put caffeine in his food, for he s in full flight and as fired up as you're going to see him. There is only one planet that can fire Pluto up this way and that s Mars, planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos, for it puts the planets of war and revolution on the same page, with Mars short term mission to evoke your financial passions and fighting spirit joining forces with Pluto s slow and steady march towards change, turning what has been a slow evolution into a revolution. Mars and Pluto will always team up once every 2 years on average, but there is something about their coming together in Capricorn, ruler of your financial sector which is a very different experience. Capricorn is a fixed sign and a very goal focused and determined energy, so when Mars and Pluto meet up here there is nothing wishy-washy about the influence this has, giving you a clear sense of what you re fighting for, what change needs to happen and the determination to see it through, to a point that long after Mars moves on you'll remain committed to the fight that this inspires. This is where things stand as you move into 2013, for while Mars has already gone he only left on Boxing Day 2012, just 5 days before the New Year and this allows you to move forward with a clear sense of what you're fighting for, but without a lot of the intensity and urgency that came with Mars time here. You will always move into the New Year with the Sun in your financial sector and you will always close the year with him here as well, with his visit from the 22 nd December 2012 to the 20 th January 2013 giving you a clear view on both sides of the fence. It was the Sun s return just 4 days before Mars left that tamed down any out of control Mars and Pluto vibes, with the Sun s transparency and objectivity allowing you to see through the fog of war to what was really happening, but also gave you a chance to bottle some of Mars financial passions and fighting spirit before he left. The Sun is able to keep some of Pluto s revolutionary forces in check, but the genie is now out of the bottle and there is no going back to a sense of complacency and on the financial front this means that instead of accepting a situation, that it s now a case of if you can see it you can do it. The Sun will provide the reality checks that allow you to tone down some of Mars and Pluto s wild financial passions, creating something more realistic and doable.

28 Because Pluto is here for so long as each planet moves through your financial sector they are touched by Pluto s revolutionary call and at the same time he s able to draw on their influence, bringing the perfect combination of forces. Until the Sun leaves on the 20 th January he ll be throwing the solar spotlight on your financial situation and matters, revealing where things stand but also looking at Pluto s call for change objectively. If Pluto had his way there would be change for change sake, with the Sun able to bring a more realistic frame of reference. When Venus leaves your financial sector on the 2 nd February Pluto will be back on his own and after some very active months that kicked off with Mars return on the 17 th November 2012, he ll be content to once more become a sleeping dog as that s how the majority of his 16 years here will be spent. It s then, with Mars, the Sun, Mercury and Venus having moved through in a relatively short period of time that everything will be out in the open and anything triggered will remain a work in progress for as long as you remain motivated. However, with Pluto here for so long and especially during his retrograde phase between the 13 th April and the 21 st September, don t be surprised if that s exactly what happens, with falling asleep at the wheel your greatest danger during this retrograde phase, but then you were never supposed to keep up the frenetic pace you'll find in the early and later months of each year. In the middle months of the year the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Venus will have made it over to the other side of the sky, returning to your income sector just in time to welcome Jupiter. This puts them in opposition with Pluto, something that will happen once a year for the Sun, Mercury and Venus and once every 2 years for Mars, creating some financial tension but also keeping you on your toes, providing wakeup calls on both the financial and income fronts and a welcome push for anything stuck. However, while Jupiter and Pluto move into opposition every 12 years somewhere in your chart, the last time in 2001, this will be the first time in your lifetime that this has played out between your income and financial sectors, which should give Pluto and matters here on the financial front quite a wakeup call. Yet coming

29 when you're most in danger of falling asleep at the wheel and forgetting what inspired you so much in the early weeks of the year, this has to be seen as a good thing, especially as by that point you'll be moving into your luckiest, most expansive and opportune 12 months on the income front in over a decade by then. Mercury will be the first to move into opposition with Pluto on the 7 th /8 th June, then Venus on the 11 th /12 th June, the Sun on the 2 nd /3 rd July, Mars on the 27 th /28 th July and finally Jupiter on the 6 th /11 th August. These are all while Pluto is in retrograde motion, things have gone quiet and your most likely to have lost your motivation, with these wakeup calls providing enough pressure to ensure you're not asleep at the wheel. It s during this time that a Full Moon here in your financial sector on the 23 rd June might add to the intensity and any financial tension, but it will clear the air, get things out in the open and bring anything building behind the scenes to a head or to a tipping or turning point. Even though Pluto will turn direct on the 21 st September it will normally take the arrival of the faster planets to bring things up to speed again, which will happen when Venus comes full circle and returns on the 5 th November, just over 9 months since leaving. As well as the last planet to leave earlier in the year and the first to arrive in November, Venus is making sure that she ll still be the last to have Pluto s ear. In the early weeks of the year Venus moved through in just 24 days, returning on the 9 th January and leaving on the 2 nd February. Fast forward 9 months and Venus will return on the 5 th November 2013 but won t leave until the 6 th March 2014, almost 4 months later to the day. This extended stay is due to the fact that Venus will turn retrograde on the 22 nd December, ending 2013 in retrograde motion and not turning direct until the 1 st February As the planet of money, desire and attraction Venus is here to not only enhance your financial desires and expectations and trigger the laws of attraction, but to attract opportunities and evoke a sense of abundance and to have her here for 4 months, during that time opening the door to second chances, creates some extremely special months for financial matters. This will see the planet of money, desire and attraction keeping a close eye on Jupiter over in your income sector, making sure that the bar is raised. As Venus didn t visit your financial sector at all in 2012, it seems she has a lot of making up to do in 2013, which will more than make up for any dearth of financial support in It seems the money gods will be falling over backwards to help and support you this year, not only on the financial front but on the income front as well. This is going to create two very fast and furious months at the start of the year and then nothing, making this one

You have January and February to bring things up to speed and then the rest of the year to process what this triggers and to keep things on track. However, as if to make up for the lack of planetary activity for the majority of the year the heavens are doing what they can to keep the momentum going, giving you not one but two Full Moons in your sector of learning, travel, adventure and discovery this year. The first will fall on the 23 rd July, just hours after the Sun moves into your communication sector on the opposing side of the sky. Because the Sun is there for a month and a lunar cycle is 29 days long, this will give the Moon time to come full circle, creating a second Full Moon on the 21 st August. This gives you two shots to work on whatever this triggers or to go into the first Full Moon focused only on getting things up to speed and then the second Full Moon on closing the deal. The ancients called this the House of Fame and Public Recognition ; with all the focus, discipline and behind the scenes determination that goes into achieving success through setting a goal and seeing it through. Ruled by Saturn, the Tenth House is all about the dedication it takes to succeed, setting goals and remaining committed, disciplined and determined. In time your career sector will become the most entrenched and permanently active part of your chart, in that there isn t an area of your chart that is currently active that will remain active for as long as this area of your chart will, stretching out without a break until Yet for now this is still early days and in terms of the permanent impact this is going to have on your life and it s only in the early months of 2013 that you're likely to get your first real sense of what s possible. 34 Chiron, planet of healing returned for 4 months in 2010 but has been here permanently since February 2011, but this is a more subtle force that needs the pull that a planet can provide in order to make him more than a footnote. Chiron will remain here until 2019 and throughout that time he ll operate in the background, creating an opportunity for healing and to gain a deeper sense of understanding and knowledge, making this a time for learning from the past and for gaining a deeper understanding of your sense of purpose and what s really driving you in both your personal and professional goals and ambitions. Even though you ve had some very powerful forces move through here in recent years, including Jupiter and Uranus, the real change came when Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies returned, first for a few months in 2011 and then to stay in February What makes this so significant is that Pisces, ruler of your career sector is ruled by Neptune and this is the first time he s been home in our lifetime, having last been here in the 1860 s. Neptune is the planet that gets us to dream, hope and aspire to something more, through our imagination and our ability to quite literally reach for the stars. Neptune is a much maligned planet in that he is often said to bring delusion and cause us to wear our rose coloured glasses a little too much and in fact, I have heard Astrologers refer to alcohol as liquid Neptune. Neptune was last in Pisces from 1847 to 1862, so no one alive on the planet now knows what it s like to have Mars passion and fighting spirit come together with the professional dreams, hopes and aspirations Neptune has been evoking in his home sign, giving you the motivation and resources to walk the talk and the courage, guts, sassiness and the moxy to take your destiny in your own hands and make this the year when dreams really will come true. I have been writing horoscopes for 16 years now and I have yet to find a Mercury retrograde phase that didn t correspond to something special happening in the area of your chart that he s retrograding in at the time and this is no exception. With so much happening on the work, income and career fronts this year and especially where they come together in ongoing support, having Mercury retrograde here at anytime would have been an advantage, but his retrograde phase from the 23 rd February to the 21 st March coincidences with Mars and Neptune s first ever encounter here. Having Mercury in retrograde motion in your career sector will give you a chance to spend time back at the drawing board, going back over ground already covered and even change your mind over some things. For a time this will also open the door to second chances, providing the hindsight you didn t have when you first looked at things. Things will become very crowded very quickly and it s here that the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars will find themselves in the same place at the same time, for the first time in nearly 2 years. This is significant because it puts heart, mind, eyes and passion on the same page, creating a situation where you can see where things stand, you know what you want, you re intellectually on the ball and you have the courage and the drive to walk the talk. By that I mean if something is meant to happen and you try and avoid or deny it, eventually something will be triggered and the truth or what something is or needs to be will eventually be revealed and when Uranus is evolved he s usually the one doing the triggering. With Uranus here in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking he s working to create something real and authentic, constantly working to open your mind and to think and look outside the square, while triggering the kind of Eureka moments or serendipitous moments or encounters that you might put down to coincidence, but are likely to be anything but. Uranus rules all things modern, technological and innovative and is the complete opposite of doing what has always been done. However, with Uranus here things will never go quite off the boil, with the Moon s monthly visits triggering the laws of synchronicity and those Eureka moments that will keep you in touch with Uranus and his influence. Uranus will spend from the 18 th July to the 8 th December in retrograde motion and this is when you ll have a chance to work behind the scenes and to look back and process things. It s then that the laws of synchronicity and any Eureka moments are more likely to come from the past, giving you access to the rear view mirror, an opportunity for second chances and to make up for lost time, especially when it comes to giving unsaid words a voice. Because Uranus will always move into retrograde motion when the Sun is on the other side of the sky and this is when you ll also have a Full Moon here, the Full Moon that falls on the 19 th October will provide some timely wakeup calls, making sure you're not asleep at the wheel. However, this Full Moon might carry a lot more weight and have a lot more impact than previous Full Moons, as this is a lunar eclipse. Normally you would need to have one of the lunar nodes here to have an eclipse here, but while the South Node won t return here until February 2014 it s close enough during this Full Moon to form a lunar eclipse. This is both a super charged Full Moon and one where because of Uranus retrograde phase will come with a lot of hindsight, but because it signals that the South Node is drawing close, will also come with a taste of things to come. You can expect the laws of synchronicity to be working overtime during this eclipse and for the Eureka moments to be coming thick and fast.
