In this study using the energy momentum definitions of Einstein Bergmann-Thomson and Landau-Lifshitz in teleparallel gravity we compute the energy-momentum distribution (due to matter and fields including gravitation) of the universe based on generalized Bianchi type II-VIII-IX space-time and its transformations type II VIII IX metrics respectively. We obtain that Einstein and Bergmann-Thomson definitions of the energy-momentum complexes give the same results while Landau-Lifshitz s energy-momentum definition does not provide same results for these type of metrics. This results are the same as a previous works for Einstein Bergmann-Thomson and Landau-Lifshitz solutions of the Authors they investigated the same problem in general relativity also our results agree with previous works of Cooperstock-Israelit Rosen Johriet al.
The Energy Momentum Problem in Teleparallel Gravity For Bianchi Type II-VIII-IX Universes2 1. Introduction Einstein s theory of general relativity is an excellent theory of space time and gravitation and has been supported by experimental evidences but some of its features are not without difficulties. For example; the subject of energy and/or momentum localization has been a problematic issue since the outset of this theory[1]. Recently this problem has also been argued in alternative gravitation theory namely teleparallel gravity. Since the advent of general relativity many physicists have been working on this topic. To find a generally accepted expression there are different attempts. However there is still no generally accepted expression known. The first of such attempts was made by Einstein who suggested a definition for energy-momentum distribution[2]. Following his definition different people proposed different energymomentum complexes e.g. Tolman[3] Papapetrou[4] Landau-Lifshitz[5] Bergmann- Thomson[6] Møller[7] Weinberg[8] Qadir-Sharif[9] and teleparallel gravity analogs of Einstein Landau-Lifshitz Bergmann-Thomson[14] and Møller[11] definitions. These energy-momentum definitions except for the Møller formulation are restricted to calculate the energy-momentum distributions in quasi-cartesian coordinates. Møller proposed an expression which could be utilized to any coordinate systems. There have been several attempts to calculate energy-momentum prescriptions associated with different space times[12][13]. Vargas[14] by using tele-parallel gravity analogs of Einstein and Landau-Lifshitz energy-momentum definitions found that energy is zero in Friedmann-Robertson-Walker space-times. This result agrees with the previous works of Cooperstock-Israelit[15] Rosen[16]. Banerjee and Sen[17] using the Einstein energymomentum complex found that the total energy density of Bianchi type-i universes is zero everywhere. Using the definition of Bergmann-Thomson Aydoġdu and Saltı[18] calculated the energy of locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type-ii universe and found it to be zero. Authors have investigated the same problem in general relativity by using the Einstein Bergmann-Thomson[19] and Landau-Lifshitz s[20] definitions and obtained exactly same results. However Aygün et al.[21 26] have researched in detail energy-momentum problem in the theory of general relativity and tele-parallel gravity by using different space times and different definitions The aim of this paper is to obtain the total energy and momentum for general Bianchi type II-VIII-IX metric and its transformation in teleparallel gravity by using the energy-momentum expression of Einstein Bergmann-Thomson and Landau-Lifshitz in general relativity. We will proceed according to the following scheme. In the next section we introduce our general space-time model to be considered and give three special space-time mode as examples for our model. Next in section 3 we give the energy and/or momentum definitions of Einstein Bergmann-Thomson and Landau- Lifshitz in the tetrad theory of gravity and then compute the energy-momentum density. (due to matter and fields including gravitation) associated with our general model. In
The Energy Momentum Problem in Teleparallel Gravity For Bianchi Type II-VIII-IX Universes3 section 4 gives us some special cases of our energy solutions. Finally we summarize and discuss our results. Throughout this paper the Latin indices (ij...) represent the vector number and the Greek (µ ν...) represent the vector components. We use units where G = c = The Generalized Bianchi Type II-VIII-IX Space Time The Bianchi cosmologies play an important role in theoretical cosmology and have been much studied since the 1960s. A Bianchi cosmology represents a spatially homogeneous universe since by definition the space-time admits a three-parameter group of isometries whose orbits are spacelike hyper-surfaces. These model can be used to analyze aspects of the physical Universe which pertain to or which may be affected by anisotropy in the rate of expansion for example the cosmic microwave background radiation nucleosynthesis in the early universe and the question of the isotropization of the universe itself [27]. Spatially homogeneous cosmologies also play an important role in attempts to understand the structure and properties of the space of all cosmological solutions of Einstein field equations. Also the FRW models have played a significant role in cosmology. Whether or not these models correctly represent the universe known but it is believed that they provide good global approximations of the present universe. These models are characterized by spatial homogeneity and isotropy. In recent decades theoretical interest in anisotropic cosmological model has increased. In modern cosmology the spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi models which are in some sense between FRW models and completely inhomogeneous and anisotropic universes play an important role. Here we consider the generalized form of Bianchi type II-VIII-IX Space-time is defined by the line element: ds 2 = dt 2 +S(t) 2 dx 2 +R(t) 2 [dy 2 +f(y) 2 dz 2 ] S(t) 2 h(y)[2dx h(y)dz]dz.(1) The metric given by Eq. (1) reduces to some well-known space-times in special cases. 1.) When f(y)=y and h(y) = y 2 /2 the line element describes the well-known Bianchi-II type metric. 2.)When f(y) = sinh(y) and h(y) = cosh(y) the line element describes the wellknown Bianchi-VIII type metric. 3.) When f(y) = sin(y) and h(y) = cos(y) the line element describes the wellknown Bianchi-IX type metric. The matrix form of the metric tensor g µν for the line-element (1) is defined by S(t) 2 0 2S(t) 2 h(y) 0 0 R(t) (R(t) 2 f(y) 2 + S(t) 2 h(y) 2 ) (2)
The Energy Momentum Problem in Teleparallel Gravity For Bianchi Type II-VIII-IX Universes4 and its inverse matrix g µν is S(t) 2 0 ( 2S(t) 2 h(y)) R(t) (R(t) 2 f(y) 2 + S(t) 2 h(y) 2 ) (3) The non-trivial tetrad field induces a tele-parallel structure on space-time which is directly related to the presence of the gravitational field and the Riemannian metric arises as g µν = η ab h a µ hb ν (4) Using this relation we obtain the tetrad components: and its inverse is h a µ = δa 0 δ0 µ + Sδa 1 δ1 µ + Rδa 2 δ2 µ + Rfδa 3 δ3 µ (Sh)δa 1 δ3 µ (5) h µ a = δ 0 a δµ 0 + S 1 δ 1 a δµ 1 + R 1 δ 2 a δµ 2 + Rf 1 δ 3 a δµ 3 (Sh) 1 δ 1 a δµ 3 (6) For the line-element which describes the General Bianchi type II-VIII-IX spacetime one can introduce the tetrad basis θ 0 = dt θ 1 = (Sdx Shdz) θ 2 = Rdy θ 3 = Rfdz. (7) 3. Energy Momentum in Tele-parallel Gravity The tele-parallel gravity is an alternative approach to gravitation and corresponds to a gauge theory for the translation group based on Weitzenböck geometry [28]. In the theory of the tele-parallel gravity gravitation is attributed to torsion [29] which plays the role of a force [30] and the curvature tensor vanishes identically. The essential field is acted by a nontrivial tetrad field which gives rise to the metric as a by-product. The translational gauge potentials appear as the nontrivial item of the tetrad field so induces on space-time a tele-parallel structure which is directly related to the presence of the gravitational field. The interesting place of tele-parallel gravity is that due to its gauge structure it can reveal a more appropriate approach to consider some specific problem. This is the situation for example in the energy and momentum problem which becomes more transparent when considered from the tele-parallel point of view. The Einstein Bergmann-Thomson and Landau-Lifshitz s energy-momentum complexes in tele-parallel gravity[14] are respectively: he µ ν = 1 4 λ(u µλ ν ) (8) hb µν = 1 4 λ(g µβ U νλ β ) (9)
The Energy Momentum Problem in Teleparallel Gravity For Bianchi Type II-VIII-IX Universes5 where U νλ β hl µν = 1 4 λ(hg µβ Uβ νλ ) (10) is the Freud s super-potential which is given by: U νλ β = hs νλ β. (11) where h = det(h a µ) and S µνλ is the tensor S µνλ = m 1 T µνλ + m 2 2 (T νµλ T λµν ) + m 3 2 (gµλ T βν β gνµ T βλ β ) (12) with m 1 m 2 and m 3 the three dimensionless coupling constants of tele-parallel gravity [31]. For the tele-parallel equivalent of general relativity the specific choice of these three constants are: m 1 = 1 4 m 2 = 1 2 m 3 = 1 (13) To calculate this tensor firstly we must calculate Weitzenböck connection: Γ α µν = h α a νh a µ (14) and torsion of the Weitzenböck connection: T µ νλ = Γµ λν Γµ νλ (15) The energy-momentum complexes of Einstein Bergmann-Thomson and Landau- Lifshitz in the tele-parallel gravity are given by the following equations respectively Pµ E = he 0 µ dxdydz (16) Σ Pµ B = hb 0 µdxdydz (17) P L µ = Σ Σ hl 0 µ dxdydz (18) P µ is called the momentum four-vector P i give momentum components P 1 P 2 P 3 P 4 and P 0 gives the energy and the integration hyper-surface Σ is described by x 0 = t = cons. as From Eq. Summary and Discussion The subject of energy-momentum localization in the general theory of relativity has been very exciting and interesting; however it has been associated with some debate. Recently some researchers have been interested in studying the energy content of the universe in various models. The object of present paper is to show that it is possible to solve the problem of localization of energy and momentum in general relativity by using the energy and momentum complexes. We have considered two different energy and momentum complexes in teleparallel gravity: e.g. Bergmann-Thomson Einstein and Landau- Lifshitz. This results are exactly same as a previous works of Aygün et al. they investigated the same problem in general relativity by using the Einstein Bergmann- Thomson[19] and Møller Landau-Lifshitz (LL) Papapetrou s[20] definitions. We found that these two gravitational theories give the exactly same result for the total energy and momentum in General relativity and Tele-parallel gravity: E GR = E TP M GR = M TP. This paper demonstrates the important point that these energy momentum definitions are identical not only in general relativity but also in teleparallel gravity. Also we found that; The Einstein and Bergmann-Thomson energy-momentum distributions are exactly same in general and other Bianchi type metrics. The first and third momentum distributions (P 1 = P 3 = 0) are equal each other and zero in all
The Energy Momentum Problem in Teleparallel Gravity For Bianchi Type II-VIII-IX Universes12 deal with Bianchi types metrics. Bergmann-Thomson and Einstein energy densities are identically same and zero in Bianchi type II universe because the energy contributions from the matter and gravitational field inside an arbitrary two-surface in the case of the anisotropic model of the universe based on Bianchi type-ii metric cancel each other. These results agree with the previous work of Benerjee-Sen[17] Rosen[16] Aygün[19 20] et al. and agree with Radinschi[32]. The results advocate the importance of energymomentum complexes.
