1 Students who begin Cuyahoga Community College in Fall 2001 or who choose to follow the College Catalog will be required to meet four competencies and skills before graduation. These competencies and skills may be met in one or more courses that comprise an associate degree. Students following the College Catalog will not be granted an associate degree until the four competencies and skills are met. The four competencies and skills are defined in each associate degree (see Section V of the College Catalog). These competencies and skills [C&S] are: C&S 1. C&S 2. C&S 3. C&S 4., Interdependence and Global. Computer and Information Skills. Skills. and Health. This section includes a table that lists courses that have been certified to meet one or more competencies and skills. The courses are listed by subject area and a notation is given as to the specific competency and skill met by each course. Course numbers in parenthesis indicate the former course number and are equivalent to the current course. Because these former course numbers are equivalent, they will meet the same competency as the current course numbers and may be applied to the C&S graduation requirement. The tables below will serve as a guide during the two year period this college catalog is in effect. It will be periodically updated and revised. Check with the campus Counseling Office to determine if this list has been updated and to obtain the most recent revision.
