2 KPC & 06 portion control scale KWS 152 weihin scale Thank you for purchasin a KPC-2000 or a KWS 152 scale. Please read all operatin instructions carefully before usin and note the followin points: Avoid lenthy exposure to extreme heat or cold as your scale works best when operated at normal room temperature. Always allow the scale to acclimate to a normal room temperature before use. Allow sufficient warm up time. Turn the scale on and wait a few minutes to allow the internal components to stabilize before calibratin or weihin. The cleaner the environment the better. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents and proximity to other electronic equipment can all cause an adverse effect on the reliability and accuracy of your scale. Only use on a stable, vibration free surface. Handle with care. Gently apply all items to be weihed onto the tray top. Althouh this scale is desined to be quite durable, try to avoid rouh treatment as this may permanently damae the internal sensor. Place the item to be weihed on the platform and after the stable weiht is displayed, remove the item immediately. This will aid in the lonevity and accuracy of this weihin instrument. Do not operate near an in-use cell phone, radio, computer or other electronic device as these devices emit RF and maybe cause unstable scale readins. Adjust the feet on the bottom of the scale to level it. The scale may be powered by an adapter or a 6-volt rechareable battery. When Lo.bAt is displayed alternatively, this indicates that the battery is low. Please rechare battery immediately.

Workin temperature: Power supply: 12Vdc, 600mA adapter, with positive center or 6V4AH rechareable battery.

4 Note:. When the rechareable battery is fully rechared, the scale can work for 20 hours continuously.. When the power supply is lower than 5.4V(+0.1V), the scale will be turned off automatically.. When the power supply is lower than 5.7V(+0.1V) but over 5.4V(+0.1V), the scale will alternatively display Lo.bAT and the other current display. 5. Workin current: < 150mA 6. Recharin current: < 400mA Key function 1. /ON/OFF: 1.1 When scale is off, press this button to turn the scale ON. The scale will enter self-examination, show the workin voltae x.x Udc, display full capacity F3.000k, F6.000k or F15.000k. The scale will et proper power-on-zero-point and display zero readin. (Note: the proper (power-on-zero-point rane is: (calibration zero-point) +20% FS) 1.2 When the scale is on, press this key for less than 5 seconds, and key function will activate; press this button for more than 5 seconds, and ON/OFF key function will activate: : key rane is (power-on zero-point) +5% FS. function can only be activated when the scale is in stable weihin mode and the activation of the key will also clear the recorded tare weiht. The LED liht will be on, LED will be off. function will be not activated when the current weiht is not in the rane of (power-on zeropoint) +5% FS, and it will display or 0, then will o back to previous weiht readin. ON/OFF: By pressin this key for more than 5 seconds, the scale will display OFF, and turn off after releasin the key. 2. TARE /UNIT Press this button for less than 5 seconds, the TARE key function will activate. Press this button for more than 5 seconds, UNIT key function will activate: TARE: TARE rane for this scale is up to 102%FS. This function should be operated when the scale is in stable mode. When the TARE function is active, the LED will be on. [Note: (Gross weiht = Net weiht + Tare weiht 102% FS) UNIT: To chane the weiht unit, hold the TARE/UNIT button for more

5 than 5 seconds or until your desired weiht unit appears. Calibration Calibration requires technical knowlede and standard test weihts. Calibration should only be performed by a scale technician. Check your local phone book for your nearest scale repair center. If the she scale technician does not have the Kilotech calibration procedure and access codes, this can be obtained by callin the Kilotech Service Center at (USA) or (Canada). AUTO-OFF function When the scale is ON, simultaneously press and hold down TARE and buttons for more than 5 seconds till the A.oFF.x is displayed (x=0,1 9: means when the scale has no weiht chanin and no key pressed for 1 9 minutes, the scale will auto power off to save battery power, when x=0, means that the auto-power off function is disabled). Press the TARE button to choose the auto-off time and press button to confirm and save the settin. Some display symbol meanin: : Power-on zero-point is over (calibration zero-point) +20%FS) when scale is turned on, or the readin weiht is over (power-on zero-point) +5%FS when pressin button; 0 : Power-on zero-point is below (calibration zero-point) -20%FS) when scale is turned on, or the readin weiht is + (power-on zero-point) -5%FS when pressin button; : the current weiht is less than 25% FS; : the current weiht is over 102% FS; CAL-0: Zero point at calibration; CAL-F: Full capacity at calibration; CAL-Er: Calibration error; A.ch.E r: analo channel error; EEP. Er: EEPROM accessin error or data in EEPROM is error or not in their normal rane; Lo.bAt: The voltae of internal workin is below 5.7V(+0.1V) x.x Udc: The voltae of internal workin is x.xv(+0.1v)
