1 RESOLUTION NO. ~..~:.~ 1968 WEED AND RUBBISH ABATEMENT WHEREAS, the Government Code of the State of California under Title 4 Division 3, Part 2, Chapter 13, Article 2, provides that cities may require the removal of grass, weeds, or'~other obstructions from sidewalks, parkings or streets and make the costs of removal a lien upon the abutting property; and WHEREAS, said Act also provides that cities may require for the removal from private property, lands, or lots of all weeds, rubbish, or other material dangerous or injurious to neighboring property or the health and welfare of the residents in the vicinity and make the cost of removal a lien upon the property. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt upon private property including the streets, sidewalks, and parkways abutting same be declared as public nuisances. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of E1 Paso de be directed to mail written notices ordering abatement by the removal of all weeds, rubbish, refuses and dirt and setting the date of Monday, May 20, 1968, at the hour of 8 o'clock P.M. for hearing all objections of the assessed owners of the following described properties in the City of E1 Paso de as shown on the attached list and marked "EXHIBIT A".
