6 Materials and Finishes Philips Hanover Lantern offers one of the industry s most comprehensive selection of decorator finishes to enhance virtually any exterior color scheme. All finishes are hand applied by skilled artisans who create the look of a natural aging process, with some of the finishes requiring a three step process. We send our products into punishing environments with confidence, because we build them... with the most rugged, high-performance materials available. Alloys We supply our proprietary aluminum ingots to our suppliers to keep a close eye on quality control and traceability. Our Philips Hanover Lantern exclusive low-copper alloys feature superior corrosion resistance, strength, weldability, and ductility. Formulated to resist oxidation, improve paint adhesion, and maximize performance. Surfaces We pre-treat every one of our fixtures with a fivestage cleaning process and we shot blast our poles and bases. These processes remove oxides and guarantee a uniform surface creating a powerful bond between metal and paint that resists abuse, weather, and the effects of age.
