6 New physics and flavor In SM, flavor only in Yukawa couplings: LH = Y u H(QuR ) Y d H(QdR ) Y e H(LeR ) + h.c. (2) Probe only masses and CKM: Yu Yu and Yd Yd (ur, dr are SU(2) singlets) New physics can help us learn about flavor Leptoquarks are great examples of this: L = λ (QL) + h.c. Different processes probe columns and rows of λ matrix (3)

7 LL and RL leptoquarks We consider SU(2) triplet leptoquark (3, 3): LLL = λ (QL) + h.c. (4) Or SU(2) doublet leptoquark (3, 2): LRL = λ (dr L) + h.c. (5)

8 λ and RK λde λdµ λdτ λ λse λsµ λsτ λbe λbµ λbτ (6) RK probes e, µ columns, s, b rows: 0.7.Re[λse λ be λsµ λ bµ ] (24TeV) M2 (7)

9 λ and other constraints Conservative with direct collider detection: M > 1 TeV Bs mixing from box diagram probes different combination: (λse λ be + λsµ λ bµ + λsτ λ bτ )2. M2 (12 TeV)2 RK λ2 /M 2 vs. λ4 /M 2 Combined: M < O(50) TeV, in reach of future colliders (8)
