JOE DIRT FINDS A ROUND, RELOADS IN 7.91 SECONDS, DISPATCHES BANDITS MATAMORAS, PA, SEPT. 11, 2016 Fifty-five shooters attended our 8th Annual BBQ match, on a beautiful sunny, breezy day. We paid tribute to all who lost their lives on the 15th anniversary of Thank you Tom Payne for performing Taps and The Star Spangled Banner. We will never forget them. The stages were fairly simple, but had challenging target sequences, not the usual norm. We shot through so we could relax and enjoy the BBQ. Thanks to all who helped put everything away, we really appreciate it. Stage 3 had two bonus birds and 26 shooters hit one and of them, 21 got both. Stage 4 had two stationary bird bonus targets and 21 hit one of them and 19 sharpshooters hit both. That was some pretty good shootin!! Stage 5 had an optional pistol reload with 45 gunslingers testing their skill, many for the first time. Joe Dirt had the quickest time with a 7.91!! That earns him a free match! Nice shootin! Tom Payne was the lucky winner of our 50/50 drawing and won $75. Joe Dirt on Stage JW on Stage 5 TOP SHOOTERS James Samuel Pike was our Top Gun for the September match. Renegade Roper came in second and Jesamy Kid came in third. And congratulations to the Category winners! NEW SHOOTERS We had 4 new gunslingers this month. Shoulda Married Money, Marshal T.J. Buckshot, Jewels Cartwright, and Rhsty Heatmore shot their first match at Matamoras. It was great to have you shoot with us, hope you come back! We also had some pards return to get back into action. Welcome back to Lead Poison and Sassy, and Keeper of The Red Tail. It was great to see you all again, we missed you. And our best wishes to Black Jack Ed, who s itching to get back to shooting soon! Pecos Pav on Stage 3 THE BBQ AND OTHER NEWS G.W. Wishbone, Holly Anna, Annabelle Pepper, Flatlands Jim, Mary, and Ralph are the people who made another great BBQ possible. Jim donated the proceeds from cowboy items he sold in the clubhouse... thanks Jim. Clint Bonnett has posted great photos of the gunslingers throwing lead down range again.
