7 Aim: I can find the slope algebraically. Lesson 2 Finding Slope Algebraically Warm Up: Determine the rate of change (slope) for each graph. The of the line is the ratio of the vertical change of the line (change in y-values) to its horizontal change (change in x-values). This ratio is a constant rate of change between any two points on the line. Slope Formula: To calculate the slope of any line, all you need are two points that are on the line.
