RH Matt Fox (5.0,4,1,1,1,5,HR) allowed only a solo home run to Chad Tracy in the 2 nd inning, but picked up his 2 nd loss of the season. LH Cesar Jimenez allowed 3 hits in 2.2 scoreless innings in relief, extending his scoreless innings streak to 5.1 innings this season. RH Chance Ruffin has converted each of his last 10 Triple-A save opportunities dating back to July 8, 2011 when he was with Toledo. Carlos Peguero joined fellow Rainiers outfielders Darren Ford and Mike Wilson after officially going on the club s disabled list. Infielder Leury Bonilla was called up from Double-A Jackson yesterday to fill Peguero s spot after appearing in a pair of game with the Generals (2x7/.286). Outfielder Mario Yepez was transferred back to Jackson today after playing in 1 game with the Rainiers. Daren Brown returns for his 12th season in the Mariners organization and his sixth as the skipper for the Rainiers. Jackson improved to 5-1 on the season with a 5-1 win over Tennessee on Tuesday night. The Generals pitching staff retired 25 consecutive and 26 of the final 28 Tennessee batters in the win. The 5-1 record to start the season matches the 2005 Diamond Jaxx as the best start in franchise history. IB Rich Poythress (3x4, R, RBI) recorded his 2 nd multi-hit game of the season with a season-high 3 hits.
