Received 20/03/2013 Revised 02/05/2014 Accepted 29/05/2014 INTRODUCTION AND PRELIMINARIES Ran and Reurings [1] firstly discussed the existence and uniqueness of fixed point for contraction type mappings in Agarwal et al [5] Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham [6] Lakshmikantham and Ciric [8] Nieto and Lopez [3] and Berinde and Borcut [7] proved some famous and well known results for the existence of a fixed point in partially ordered metric space. In 1987Guo and Lakshmikantham[2] reported with the notion of coupled fixed point. Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham [6] reconsidered the concept of coupled fixed point in partially ordered metric space in 2006.The notion of tripled fixed point was introduced by Berinde and Borcut [7] They proved some tripled and n-tupled fixed point theorems and discussed the existence and uniqueness of solutions under different conditions. In this paper we have derived a new tripled fixed point theorem for mapping having the mixed monotone property in partially ordered metric space. Definition 1.1. A partially ordered set is a set with a binary operation denoted by such that for all (i) (reflexivity) (ii) and = (anti-symmetry) (iii) and (transitivity). Definition 1.2. A sequence ( ) in a metric space is said to converge to a point denoted by lim = if lim = 0. Definition 1.3. A sequence ( ) in a metric space is said to be Cauchy Sequence if lim = 0 for all >. Definition 1.4. A metric space is complete if every Cauchy sequence in X is convergent. Definition 1.5. [7] Let X be a non-empty set and : be a map. An element ( ) is called a tripled fixed point of F if ( ) = ( ) = ( ) =. Definition 1.6. [7] Letbe a partially ordered set and :. The mapping F is said to have mixed monotone property if ( ) is monotone non-decreasing in and and is monotone non-increasing in that is for ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ). MAIN RESULT Theorem 2.1. Let(X ) be a partially ordered complete metric space. Let : be a continuous mapping having the mixed monotone property on. Thus by mathematical induction principle equation (2.1.4) holds for all. So Now as so from (2.1.1) we have ( ) ( ( ) { 0 } If we take { 0 } equal to then which is a contradiction to the hypothesis..
