7 Commutative Property of Addition The order of numbers in an addition question doesn't matter because: a + b = b + a ex = = = 7 Sep 16:25 AM Adding a negative number Remember, winking men are all bad. ex. 8 + ( 4) Doesn't it look like a winking man? Any number directly beside another number indicates multiplication. ex. mn means m x n When we are adding integers, (+3) means ( 1)(+3). The 1 is just not written. This brings us to multiplication!
