2 Welcome Throughout the years our clients had the good fortune to work, live and travel abroad. Many of the items for sale were purchased during trips and while living in the Middle East, Far East, Africa, India and England. Working for a decade in the Middle East and the first years of their marriage spent in London seems to have inspired their fascination with travel. Some of their most special memories and keepsakes are from the time spent in Damascus, one of the oldest cities in the world, and Al-Hamidiyah Souk (market) which dates back to the Ottomans. These items would be next to impossible to acquire today because of destruction caused by the Syrian Civil War and the inability of foreigners to travel inside the country. Although they have kept some of their most precious bits and pieces, there remains a large number of little treasures that reflect the beauty of the people and countries where they lived.
