2 1 Short presentation Since September 2017, I have been a post-doctoral researcher at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse / INSA Toulouse. I am working, in collaboration with Pascal NOBLE and Jean-Paul VILA, on the modeling of estuaries through a 2D-1D coupling of the shallow-water equations. From October 2016 to August 2017, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse, where I worked, in collaboration with Raphaël LOUBÈRE and Marie-Hélène VIGNAL, on a second-order extension of an asymptotic preserving scheme in the low Mach number limit of the Euler system. Between October 2013 and September 2016, I worked on my PhD, Development of high-order well-balanced schemes for geophysical flows, at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques Jean Leray of the Université de Nantes, advised by Christophe BERTHON and Françoise FOUCHER. Teaching I am currently teaching Numerical analysis courses for second- and third-year students at INSA Toulouse (lectures, problem sessions and computer labs, 55h in 2017/2018 and 80h in 2018/2019). In addition, at the Université de Nantes, I taught several courses for about 64 hours each of the 3 years: problem sessions in Analytical geometry for first-year engineering majors; lectures and problem sessions in General mathematics for first-year biology, geology and chemistry majors; problem sessions and computer labs in Introduction to numerical analysis for second-year mathematics and engineering majors. Research activities During my PhD and my two post-docs, I mainly focused my research activities on the modeling of physical phenomena, on the analysis of hyperbolic systems, and on their numerical approximation. I was interested in the preservation, at the discrete level, of several properties satisfied by the continuous models. An important part of my work lied in the development and implementation of numerical schemes. Modeling and analysis of partial differential equations development of a consistent shallow-water model for estuaries analysis of hyperbolic systems: the shallow-water equations with topography and friction source terms as well as the Euler system in its low Mach number limit Development of numerical schemes scheme preserving the steady states (well-balanced) and the water height non-negativity for the shallowwater system with source terms high-order extension in space and time of this scheme, up to sixth-order accuracy, while preserving the above properties high-order extension, en time and space, of an asymptotic-preserving scheme in the low Mach number limit of the Euler equations Implementation development of a 2D Fortran code, parallelized with OpenMP simulation of large-scale geophysical phenomena, such as the 2011 Japan tsunami 2
