1 MARITAL STATUS Unmarried, father of one CURRENT POSITION 2001-Present: Permanent Research Staff at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) February 2012 February 2015; Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa November October 2011: Sabbatical at CEA-Saclay, France EDUCATION : Research associate on the ATLAS experiment, Hampton University, Hampton, VA, USA / CERN : Post-doctoral research fellow, nuclear physics, Jefferson Lab, Newport News, VA, USA : Ph.D. in nuclear and particle physics, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA. Thesis Title: "Precise Determination of the pion beta decay rate in the reaction! +!! 0 e +!". Experiment conducted at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) : Masters of Science, Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics. Ball State University, Muncie, IN USA. Thesis topics: "Understanding and improvement of photovoltaic solar cell" - practical applications for cheaper electricity in Africa : Licence en Physique et Chimie, Université de Bénin, Lomé, Togo WORK EXPERIENCE 2001-Present: Permanent staff at BNL : Convener of the ATLAS Higgs working group. Coordinating the work of a very large group of physicists around the world. The ATLAS Higgs working group has more than 500 members of which at least 50% are very active.

2 : Coordinator for ATLAS efforts on additional minimum bias interactions per beam crossing (pile-up). At higher instantaneous luminosities, the probability of additional minimum bias interactions per bunch crossing increases at the LHC. The primary concern is then the identification of the proton-proton collision that triggers the detector readout and the suppression of the background caused by the additional minimum bias interactions. I coordinated and was directly involved the development of the tools for this : Coordinator of ATLAS physics analysis tools. In large collaborations such as the ATLAS Experiment, the necessity to rely on common tools for data analysis is crucial to cross check and reproduce the results of group members prior to publication. The common tools also facilitate the integration of new members, primarily students and post-docs. I led a team of software engineers and physicists to develop common tools for ATLAS data analysis : ATLAS muon spectrometer event data model coordinator. The event data model is a computing model to describe the transient and persistent representations of the event data as readout from the electronics and used in the event reconstruction. It allows the decoupling of data and algorithms, thus facilitating the development of different tools and algorithms to process the same event data. I coordinated these efforts for the ATLAS muon spectrometer software Present: studies of discovery prospects for Higgs bosons at the LHC using the ATLAS detector. I have contributed in a significant way in the searches for the Higgs boson as the LHC using the ATLAS detector. In fact, I became the convener of the ATLAS Higgs working group. My interests are in the searches of the Standard Model Higgs boson in the H! ZZ and H! WW decay channels and in the search of the charged Higgs through its Standard Model or Super-symmetric decay modes Present: significant contribution to the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer software for data acquisition, event reconstruction, pileup and cavern background simulation, and data analysis Present: Work on the construction of the ATLAS Cathode Strip Chamber (CSC) and on the CSC reconstruction software 2001-Present: supervise summer students, under-graduate and graduate students : As a research associate stationed at CERN Studies of discovery prospects for Higgs bosons at the LHC using the ATLAS

3 detector Work on the construction and the integration of the ATLAS Transition Radiation Tracker (TRT) : a post-doctoral research associate at Hampton University stationed at Jefferson Lab. Worked on the Jefferson Lab Hall C spectrometer wire chamber. Develop a hardware system for the rotation and the angular position of the spectrometer, necessary to take data at various settings of the spectrometer. Supervised under-graduate students : as a Ph. D. Student at the University of Virginia Participated in the construction of the CsI calorimeter for the pion beta decay experiment at PSI Participated in the development of the electronics readout and the software for the data acquisition for the pion beta decay experiment. Data analysis for the Ph.D. Ultimate objective: extraction of the CKM matrix element V ud in the pion sector, that is, without relying on super-allowed nuclear beta decays which are plagued by all sort of nuclear corrections Teaching assistant for pre-medical and engineering students at the University of Virginia : As masters student at Ball State University Teaching assistant at Ball State University : High School Teacher at Collège Protestant de Lomé, Togo. Since I could find any opportunity to continue study abroad after University of Université du Bénin (Lomé), I had to teach Present: Extensive Experience in International Research Collaborations High profile contributions and positions in the ATLAS Collaboration of more than 3000 collaborations from around the world Carried out Research at Many International Research Institutions, namely, CERN, BNL, PSI, Jefferson Lab, Los Alamos National Lab Maintaining International Research Collaborations including with South Africa (The University of Johannesburg and the University of Witwatersrand) Co-supervising South African Ph.D. students at the SA-ATLAS Universities INVITED TALKS

4 Since 1998, I gave invited talks at many different Institutes in the US, in South Africa (UJ, SAIP, UCT, ithemba LABS), India, France, Switzerland, UK, Sweden INTERNATIONAL REVIEW COMMITTEES Since 1998, I have served on many different international review committees for grant proposal and paper reviews RESEARCH INTERESTS Search for the Higgs Boson(s) at the LHC Search for new Physics at the LHC, including the nature of Dark Matter (supersymmetry), large extra-dimension and flavor violation Applications to industry and medicine EDUCATION INTERESTS Outreach in Africa African school of fundamental physics: I am a member of the International Organizing committee of the African School of Fundamental Physics. We organized a very successful school for a period of three with 65 students from various African countries, in August 2010 in Stellenbosch, South Africa. We successfully obtained funding from 15 institutions in Africa, Europe and the US for this school. The next edition of the school is going to be in 2012 in Ghana. Our objective is to organize such a school every two years in a different African country. The aim of the school is to build the capacity to harvest, interpret and exploit the results of current and future physics experiments with particle accelerators, and to increase proficiency in the related applications such as medicine and technology. The school is based on close interplay between theoretical, experimental and applied physics.
