This new licence extends the Sepola Gold Project by 32 square kilometres. The Tintinba Ouest licence lies directly east of the Sepola licence which covers Golden Rim s existing resource base of 162,000 oz of gold. The Tintinba Ouest licence has been subject to very little previous exploration. Aeromagnetic data shows a number of major structures are located within Tintinba Ouest and Golden Rim believes these structures offer interesting target areas for the discovery of significant new gold mineralisation. Limited reconnaissance in a small area within Tintinba Ouest by Golden Rim has already returned a significant rock chip assay of 1.76 g/t gold from a quartz vein float sample.

2 Sepola Gold Project, Mali The Directors of Golden Rim Resources Ltd (Golden Rim) are pleased to announce it has recently acquired an additional licence, Tintinba Ouest, to add to the licences that comprise the Sepola Gold Project, in western Mali (Figure 1). The Tintinba Ouest licence is now owned 100% by Golden Rim s Mali subsidiary company, SAR Exploration SARL. Tintinba Ouest covers an area of 32 square kilometres and is located directly east of the Sepola licence. It is has been subject to very little previous exploration. A review of aeromagnetic data shows that several major structures are located within the new licence area. Golden Rim believes these structures offer interesting targets for the location of significant new gold mineralisation (Figure 2). Structures with similar orientations host major gold deposits in the region, such as Sadiola (13.5 Million oz) and Loulo (12 Million oz). A brief reconnaissance visit covering a small area near the western licence boundary of Tintinba Ouest by one of Golden Rim s local geologists resulted in the collection of 10 rock chip samples, mainly of quartz vein float (Figure 2). Assay results for these samples are provided in Table 1. The best rock chip assay from this sampling is 1.76 g/t gold. A detailed follow-up exploration program will commence on Tintinba Ouest in conjunction with the commencement of drilling at Sepola in mid-june Initial work at Tintinba Ouest will include geological mapping and surface sampling. A detailed aeromagnetic survey (70 m line spacing) is now planned to cover the entire Sepola Gold Project to more accurately define the structural controls to gold mineralisation. Some of the costs of the survey will be shared with several major gold companies that have the operating mines in the region. Table 1. 5 About the Sepola Gold Project The Sepola Gold Project lies approximately 40 kilometres southeast along strike from the Sadiola and Yatela gold mines (greater than 15 million oz of gold) which are jointly owned by AngloGold Ashanti and IAMGOLD Corporation and approximately 40 kilometres northwest of the Loulo gold deposit (12 million oz of gold) which is owned by Randgold (Figure 1). Golden Rim considers the Sepola Gold Project to be highly prospective for the discovery of a major gold deposit. Geologically, the licences have a similar setting as that hosting the surrounding gold deposits. Major structures traverse the licences and they cover prospective Birimian greenstones. Surface gold anomalism in soil is widespread and extensive artisinal mining of quartz veins occur at several prospect areas. The previous explorer at Sepola reported, in accordance with the JORC Code, an Inferred Resource totalling 162,000 oz at 1.6 g/t gold from two prospect areas (Mogoyafara South and Linnguekoto). Most of this resource is comprised of shallow, open pittable, oxide gold mineralisation. In general, the resources are open along strike and at depth. Planned additional drilling is expected to expand the number of ounces in this resource base. The potential for this drilling to locate higher grade gold mineralisation is considered excellent. Selected high grade gold drilling intercepts as previously reported at Sepola include: g/t gold, g/t gold, g/t gold, g/t gold and g/t gold. The close proximity of these Sepola gold resources to the Sadiola Mine and several other major gold mines offers scope for Golden Rim to investigate the option for the toll treating of ore and generating an early cash flow, should the planned exploration be successful. Upon the successful completion of Golden Rim s current Renounceable Rights Issue, a 3,000 m reverse circulation drilling program is planned to commence in mid-june 2009 to test for the strike and depth extensions to the Linnguekoto and Mogoyafara South gold deposits. A drilling contractor has been selected and logistical preparation for this drilling is well underway. The current growth strategy is being driven by the Company s projects in West Africa and the advancement of alliance company, Royal Falcon Mining LLC (Royal Falcon). While previously active in Fiji and Vanuatu, positive results from the Company s two new West African gold projects (Sepola and Sanso) have prompted an exciting shift in focus to drive shareholder value. A 3,000 m reverse circulation drilling program is planned mid-2009 at the Sepola Gold Project where previous drilling has defined an Inferred Resource of 162,000 oz of gold. This resource is open along strike and at depth and is considered to have the potential to produce a major gold deposit. Golden Rim s, Abu Dhabi registered alliance company, Royal Falcon, has secured its first major mineral projects. The projects are located in central Sweden and include the advanced Falun and Bersbo poly-metallic projects. Through a joint venture agreement with Drake Resources Limited, known as the Bergslagen Joint Venture, Royal Falcon can earn up to 75% interest in the projects. Considerable volumes of high-grade gold and copper mineralisation remain at Falun and offer immediate targets for drilling. A 4,300m diamond drilling program is planned in Sweden in Q309.
