10 8. Advisory Editorial Board, Gondwana Geological Magazine, Nagpur, India Member 17. Research highlights Microtextural evidences of mafic magma quenching against cooler granite melts were recognized for the first time from Western Carpathians, Central Slovakia. Bimodal (tholeiitic and alkaline) magmatisms, based on chemistry of pyroxenes, were recognized and geological map of Phenai Mata Igneous Complex was modified. Recognition of mafic magma input in the evolution of S-type Pan-African Champawat granitoids, Kumaun Lesser Himalaya. First report of unmelted surmicaceous enclaves in Chaur granitoids of Himachal Lesser Himalaya. Mafic-felsic magma mingling, mixing and chemical diffusion processes in Copper hosted Malanjkhand pluton, central India were recognized. Porphyry nature of copper deposits of Malanjkhand region was established, and mafic melt was considered as potential source of copper. Synchronous mixing-fractionation of mafic and felsic melts in the evolution of Dongargarh pluton was recognized. Magmatism at 1800 Ma, 1600 Ma and 1400 Ma forming the basement gneissic crust with recycled Neoarchean components in Meghalaya plateau has been recognized. Pan-African thermal events produced series of post collision granite plutons along activating the Tyrsad-Barapani lineament of Meghalaya plateau. Magnetic susceptibility (MS) mapping of Bundelkhand and SHRIMP U-Pb zircon chronology of Bundelkhand massif suggested five pulses of felsic magmatism in the evolution of Bundelkhand craton. Five episode of felsic magmas and re-working of Indian continental crust in their genesis have been recognized from Kameng Corridor of Arunachal Himalya, based on geochemical and U-Pb-Hf zircon chronology of granitoids. Coeval nature of mafic and felsic magmas (ca 1750 Ma) forming the Jhirgadandi pluton of Mohakausha Group, central India, has been recognized based on geochemistry and SHRIMP U-Pb zircon ages. Field features demonstrating the mafic-felsic magma mingling, mixing and undercooling in the evolution of subduction-related Ladakh batholith have been documented for the first time. Direct evidence (ca 52 Ma) of India-Asia continental collision has been reported first time based on geochemistry and zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopic studies. Date: October, 2015
