6 What do you know about diamonds? Strong, nonreactive, only thing that can scratch a diamond is another diamond, does not melt easily, also used as drills, etc. What do you know about graphite? Found in pencils, reduces friction b/c layers slide past each other (could use as a lubricant) try rubbing two pieces of paper together that are covered in graphite Other forms nanotubes and fullerenes Try to make each of these using ball and stick model Based on your models, why do you think diamond is the strongest?
