1 Универзитет у Београду Научна установа Институт за хемију, технологију и металургију Његошева 12, Београд НАУЧНОМ ВЕЋУ Инатитута за хемију, технологију и металургију Одлуком Научног одбора Института за хемију, технологију и металургију број 1620 од године одређени смо за чланове комисије за подношење извештаја за избор у звање научни саветник др Небојше Маринковића, дипломираног физикохемичара. На основу прегледа приложеног материјала подносимо Научном већу Института за хемију, технологију и металургију следећи: А) БИОГРАФИЈА ИЗВЕШТАЈ Др Небојша Маринковић, дипломирани физикохемичар је рођен је год. у Неготину. Основну школу и IX Београдску гимазију завршио је у Београду. Студије на Факултету за физичку хемију Природно-математичког факултета у Београду завршио је са дипломским радом под називом Утицај концентрације кумарина и смеше кумарин-трипафлавин на талсану дужину ласерског зрачења са просечном оценом год. је уписао постдипломске студије на Центру за Мултидисциплинарне студије у Београду. Магистарске студије је завршио са просечном оценом 10, а магистарску тезу под називом Електросорпција водоника на монокристалним електродама од платине одбранио је године. На Факултету за физичку хемију Природноматематичког факултета године у Београду је одбранио докторску тезу под називом Хемисорпција водоника и металних катјона на монокристалним површинама платине са степницама. Био је запослен у ИХТМ - Институту за електрохемију од године и бавио се истраживањем адсорпције водоника и металних катјона, као и проучавањем оксидације мањих органским молекула на степенастим платинским површинама. Као стипендиста Министарства за науку и технологију Републике Србије, у периоду од год. је привремено радио у FZ-Juelich (Jülich, Nemačka) 1, усавршавајући рад на површинским техникама за испитивање металних површина, а потом је стечено знање применио у Београду. На постдокторским студијама је боравио године, прво на University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA (UofL) а потом на University of California, Davis, CA, USA (UCD). Приликом боравка на UofL експериментално је развио и теоријски обрадио технику за проучавање границе фаза електролит - површина метала инфрацрвеним 1 Institut für Grenzflächenforschung und Vacuumphysik, Forschungszentrum Jülich - Institut za istraživanje granice površina i vakuumsku fiziku, Istraživački centar u Jilihu. 1/30
2 зрачењем (SNIFTIRS) 2, а на UCD је ову технику применио како на водене тако и на неводене растворе. Од године радио је на Department of chemistry, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY, USA. Као истраживач-сарадник бавио се синтезом и карактеризацијом нових врста катализатора метал/метал-оксид за примену у горивим спреговима [патент], као и испитивањем електродних површина синхротронским техикама године је прешао на National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS), такође унутар Brookhaven National Laboratory, и као Beamline scientist 3 је радио на више извора зрачења које су под контролом различитих научних институција. У периоду је био запослен у Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY, USA где је упоредо радио на инфрацрвеном извору зрачења (У2б) и на извору x-зрака (X9б). Бавио се испитивањем органских и биолошких узорака и њихових биохемијских процеса применом различитих синхртронских спектроскопија године прелази на Synchrotron Catalysis Consortium 4 где се, на изворима x-зрака (X18а, X18б и X19а), бавио применом синхротронског x- зрачења у проучавању структуре и катализе материјала од интереса за катализаторе у гасним и електрохемијским реакцијама. Након гашења NSLS септембра а док се не оспособи нови извор зрачења на новом синхротрону унутар NSLS II (планиран завршетак радова: септембар 2016), ради на Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource, Stanford, CA, USA, на извору x-зрачења (BL 2-2) који је самостално оспособио за рад на катализи [радови у припреми]. Радио је и као консултант за Material Science Department (Одсек за науку о материјалима) при Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY ( ). Од године др Небојша Маринковић је ангажован као професор у Suffolk County Community College, Selden, NY. Предавао је више предмета у области хемије. Др Небојша Маринковић је за време рада на својој докторској тези био изабран у звање Истраживач -сарадник на ИХТМу. Обзиром да је одмах након доктората отпутовао у иностранство није покретао избор у одсуству. Како је звање Истраживач - сарадник временски-ограничено је у међувремену истекло. У периоду од до год. објавио је: - 3 поглавља у књигама водећег међународног значаја (М13), - једну лексикографску јединицу у научној публикацији водећег међународног значаја (М15), - уређивање научне монографије водећег међународног значаја (М17), - 47 радова у врхунским међународним часописима (М21), - 3 рада у истакнутим међународним часописима (М22), - 4 рада у међународним часописима (М23), - 1 предавање по позиву са међународног скупа штампаног у целини (М31), - 4 предавања по позиву са медјународног скупа штампаног у изводу (М32), - 5 саопштења са научних скупова штампаних у целини (процеедингс) (М33), 2 Subtractively Normalized Interfacial Fourier Transform InfraRed Spectroscopy (u slobodnom prevodu: razlikom normalizovana FT Infracrvena spektroskopija za dodire faza). 3 Titula ne postoji u srpskom jeziku; u slobodnom prevodu: Naučnik na izvoru zračenja. 4 Sinhrotronski Konzorcijum za Katalizu, čije je sedište bilo prvo pri University of Delaware (Newark, DE, USA) od do god., a zatim i do danas pri Columbia University (New York, NY, USA). 2/30

В) АНАЛИЗА РАДОВА Највећи број радова др Небојше Маринковића се односи на област катализе са циљем проналажења алтернативних извора енергије. То се пре свега односи на гориве спрегове на погону биогорива. Да би гориве ћелије постале комерцијалне, потребно је пронаћи одговарајући катализатор који ће ефектно вршити разградњу горива, а да је при том релативно јефтин, односно да садржи (по могућству да не садржи) скупе племените метале. При испитивању система се тежи приступу који представља спој фундаменталних и примењених истраживања што је у складу са савременим тежњама ка интердисциплинарним истраживањима. Радови др Небојше Маринковића се према областима истраживања могу разврстати у неколико тематских области. Радови у области катализе и електрохемије - истраживање нових формулација бинарних катализатора метал/оксид метала који се употребљавају горивим ћелијама на бази метанола, као и тернарних катализатора метал 1/метал 2/ оксид метала за гориве ћелије на бази етанола. Такође овој групи радова припадају и публикације које се односе на истраживања и постављање основа нове спектроскопске методе за идентификацију потенцијалом индуковане молекуларне прерасподеле на металним електродама и квантитативну евалуацију шарже двоструког слоја "in-situ" инфра црвеним спектроелектрохемијским мерењима. Радови у области испитивања материјала показују изузетно велико експертско искуство кандидата у синтези и карактеризацији катализатора на бази Pt-метал оксид и Pt-легуре прелазних метала. Значајни резултати су остварени и у области испитивања површине кристала, самоформирајућих монослојева и суб-монослојних филмова, суперпроводних металних оксида Y-Ba-Cu-O и Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O. Један број радова се односи на испитивање 22/30
23 "glassy" карбона и танких порозних угљеничних филмова, корозионих филмова и инхибиторних превлака, проводних полимера итд. Радови у области биофизичке хемије су експериментални радови базирани на личном дизајну и примени проточне ћелије за брзо мешање узорака при испитивању процеса увијања протеина у суб-милисекунд временским интервалима. У овој ужој научној области објављени су радови испитивања биополимера коришћењем метода инфрацрвене спектроскопије, као и синхротон инфрацрвене микроскопије. Такође у радовима је презентован и инфрацрвени маркер за мониторинг неуралних промена на животињама које су последица запаљења, тумора или Алцхајмерове болести, а кроз ћелијске снимке ткива. Група радова се односи на нову методу засновану на синхротон ФТИР праћењу органских полутаната у биљкама и депозицију на седиментима у рекама и морским лукама. Такође један број радова се односи на дизајн и имплементацију нове технике за квантитативно одређивање метала у узорцима протеина и ткива. Радови у области примене аналитичких инструменталних техника, аквизиције и интерпретације аналитичких података обухватају синхротон "X-ray" апсорпционе технике XAS, EXAFS и Quick-EXAFS, XANES, XRD. Кандидат је објавио већи број радова у часописима са највећим импакт фактором, а радови су истовремено и врхунски цитирани чланци. У раду М21/20 објављеному часопису Naturе Materials, аутори су први открили катализатор који врши директну оксидацију етанола у угљен диоксид, без стварања интермедијера који се тешко оксидују и делију као "отров" за површину електроде. Производи и нетрмедијери оксидације су доказани помоћу "in situ" инфрацрвене спектроелектрохемијске технике. материјал је састављен од два племенита метала (Pt и Rh) и једног металног оксида (SnO 2 ), а помоћу апсорпције x-зрака (EXAFS) устанољено је да Pt и Rh формирају наночестични чврсти раствор на површини SnO 2. Такође, EXAFS спектроскопијом је доказано да племенити метали остају у металном (нула-валентном) стању у целом опсегу потенцијала који је од интереса за гориве ћелије ( 0.6 V) те да их калај оксид штити од преране оксидације. Аутори су и теоријски (помоћу DFT) образложили пут оксидације. Допринос кандидата у овом раду је активно учешће у експерименталном делу, као и у анализи и обради података. У раду М21/34 објављеном у часопису Angewandte Chemie аутори су пронашли катализатор на коме се успешно издваја водоник, а да при том катализатор не садржи племените метале. Апсорпцојим х-зрака утврђено је да је катализатор нано слој смеше металних нитрида са формулом NiMoNx, тако да Ni и Mo граде нано честице чија је структура између чврстог раствора и језгро-љуспа, услед делимичне сегрегације метала и дифузије никла ка површини. Такође је установљен стабилизациони ефекат азота на метална стања оба метала. Допринос кандидата је анализа EXAFS резултата. У раду М21/40 објављеном у часопису Energy & Environ. Sci. аутори образлажу методу синтезе активног каталиазтора (који не садржи племените метале) за разградњу воде на водоник и кисеоник. Обзиром на то да се водоник већ користи као гориво за аутомобиле (Тесла мотори), овај активни катализатор је у жижи интересовања како из енергетских 23/30
