2 Introduction I started studying astrology in After many years, I found that the information gained from the 1st Harmonic chart was incomplete and often inaccurate when interpreted in a traditional manner. This led me to a long search of experimentation guided by intuition. In 2005, I discovered the power of the 9th Harmonic and have been refining its use ever since. This report is a statistical study on the 9 th Harmonic of the Tropical zodiac. It is meant to demonstrate the effectiveness of using this information to discover vital knowledge about human beings and life events. What is Astrology? Astrology is a subjective science which attains personal information from the conditions of objective reality. In scientific terms, this has historically been the definition of superstition. However, science itself is discovering, through Quantum Physics, that our consciousness plays a vital role in the objective conditions of life. In other words, how we see life influences what we see in life. This can be understood on a personal, collective, or universal level. Further, Astrology proves the Quantum theory that the phenomena of the universe is a cohesive whole which is organized in an intelligent, meaningful manner. Could planetary phenomena be used to gain personal information if they were separate, random and not part of a cohesive system? Why the 9 th harmonic? The 1 st harmonic has shown itself to be unreliable as a consistent methodology. What works in some cases does not work in others. We need a demonstrable set of consistent techniques to be developed in order to make use of the great potential of astrology and establish it as a science. Unbeknownst to most people, astrologers have been attempting to discover new techniques for hundreds of years. None of which has been statistically verifiable. As a result, faith has been the bedrock of astrologers. This has led to astrology s disrepute amongst scientifically minded people. I have discovered that reading the 9 th harmonic chart using the planets in signs and in aspect to each other shows the detailed dynamics of the consciousness of the person. The 1 st harmonic can show the surface personality of a person, but not always, and it can never be analyzed systematically planet by planet. As a result, astrologers reading 1 st harmonic chart have relied on their judgement and intuition to filter out which planets are in effect and which are not. Why the Tropical zodiac? There are two sign systems which human beings can experience: 1) the 12 solar signs of the Tropical zodiac which is the day system, and 2) the 27 Nakshatras (lunar signs) of the stellar sky which is the night system. Two systems: one solar, one lunar. The Tropical zodiac is based on the positions of Earth relative to the Sun which creates the seasons. In this zodiac, Aries begins where, from our view, the Sun is at the Spring Equinox. The Nakshatras are based on the daily positions of the Moon relative to the constellations in our galaxy which seem to form a circle around our solar system. This study is done using the 12 signs of the Tropical zodiac since I am more familiar with this system. In addition, the non-specific starting point of the stellar zodiac makes it difficult to study with such a mathematically exact calculation as the 9th Harmonic. 9 th Harmonic Research 2

3 Why have some signs changed position in the zodiac? The three modes, Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable, are direct expressions of the prime attributes of existence: Power, Love, and Wisdom. I realized that Cancer and Libra are actually Love signs and should be placed in the Fixed positions for their element and that Scorpio and Aquarius are Power signs and should be placed in the Cardinal positions for their element. How did I conduct this study? The statistical analysis for this project was done by compiling the frequency of planets by sign and by aspect for each category. The study contains over 60 categories ranging in size from 100 to 1300 birthcharts of people. The birthcharts were attained using the Astrodatabank which contains almost 28,000 people in total who are sorted in many biographical categories. The certainty of birthdata is also noted. The chart data was then sorted using JigSaw, an astrological research program, and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Each item was analyzed using a Normal Distribution. This allowed me to compare expected values versus actual values in a meaningful way. If the value for the item in the upper or lower 5%, it was considered significant. If the value for the item was in the upper or lower 1%, it was considered very significant. As you will see, many items in many categories are in the very significant range. In addition, they are most often in accordance with what astrological theory would have predicted. For aspects, I used conjuctions, oppositions, and squares using a 6 degree orb. (Which, in the 1 st Harmonic, occurs every 10 degrees with a 40 minute orb.) Since certain aspects naturally occur less than others, I had to adjust their expected values to find meaningful results. Those were Sun, Sun- Mercury, Sun-Venus, Saturn-Neptune, Uranus, Neptune, and Uranus-Chiron aspects. In each category, I first summarize the major findings. I divided the findings between highly frequent and highly infrequent for both signs and aspects. The descriptions are meant only to be suggestions for analysis since detailed descriptions can be found in many astrology texts. This is followed by a summary table listing all relevant findings. The sample size is listed in the upper left corner of this table. The raw data tables for both planets in signs and in aspect are then displayed. 9 th Harmonic Research 3

9 Adopted/Abandoned Children In this group, the sign of Aquarius and the planet Mercury have the most influence. This shows up as either a high frequency or infrequency depending upon the nature of the planet involved. Aquarius is the sign of independence and Mercury is the planet of communication and mental development. Strong Jupiter in Aquarius (1 in 902): This position indicates a great need for freedom and independence. Apparently, this can lead to the experience of separation from one s family. Pisces Strong: Pisces is the sign most connected to the feeling of loss and a lack of structure. Pisceans often find themselves either cut off from others or in helper roles. Either of which could be the result of being adopted or abandoned by ones birth parents. Frequent Saturn aspects: Saturn aspects indicate conservatism, restriction, discipline, fear of change. People with frequent Saturn aspects seek to have very stable and long lasting situations in their lives. An initial shock of separation from ones parents could cause such a characteristic. Infrequent Mercury-Jupiter aspects (1 in 375): This aspect is traditionally associated with great enthusiasm for talking and learning. The lack of this aspect indicates that those who are adopted or abandoned tend not to be highly confident communicators or learners. It could be inferred that this would be a result of being raised by people that they could not have immediate rapport with or having developed a lack of trust in their early environment. Infrequent Mars aspects: A lack of Mars aspects indicates the lack of Martian qualities such as initiative, vigor, aggressiveness, impulsiveness, spontaneity. An initial difficulty in life could inhibit a person s trust in life and willingness to assert their individuality. 11 Child Abuse Victims Moon in Virgo strong: This indicates a highly critical, insecure home environment. As a result, these people often have low self-esteem and difficulty feeling good. Chiron in Gemini strong: This would indicate a wound originating in one s early environment, often by siblings, relatives or friends. This creates a pattern of difficulties trusting and learning about one s surroundings resulting in learning difficulties. Aries weak: This would indicate that people with strong aggressive tendencies are not as likely to be recipients of abuse, presumably, because they do not make easy targets. Arians do not have a victim consciousness always believing themselves to be conquerors. Pluto in Capricorn weak: This indicates a lack of a powerful authority figure such as father to protect them from perpetrators. 13 Child Performers Neptune in Aquarius strong: There is a suggestion here that these people have difficulty discovering their own ideas and opinions and become overly influenced by the thoughts of others. Frequent Venus aspects (1 in 208): Venus is very influential in this category. Venus, the planet of love, causes child performers to be very likeable people from an early age. This is important for them since they have not had time to develop other attributes through maturity and education. Frequent Venus-Uranus aspects (1 in 766): Venus-Uranus aspects highly frequent indicates a highly original and interesting way of interacting with others causing them to stand out in a crowd. Infrequent Mercury aspects: They are not highly mentally inclined. 15 Child Prodigy Scorpio strong (1 in 2175): These people have tremendous vitality, enthusiasm, and strength of purpose. This enables them to develop talents earlier than others. Mars in Aquarius strong (1 in 945): This indicates great force in mental pursuits and the need to assert one s self independently. Neptune in Scorpio strong (1 in 945): There is a confusion or blending of the parent s desires with the child s desires. Leo weak: Leos are able to stand on their own as leaders and examples, in their own good time. Child prodigies shine due to the support of their families, and, therefore, succeed early in life. Frequent Venus-Uranus aspects (1 in 200): They appear highly original and unique to others. Frequent Moon-Uranus aspects (1 in 429): This indicates a highly unusual early life. It also indicates a highly eccentric and brilliant inner life which could be best expressed in private conditions or early in life. 17 Parents of 4+ Children Libra strong (1 in 235): They are the most social and people oriented types, which gives them the opportunity to enter into relationships and have children. Sun in Libra strong: They identify themselves based on their ability to love and relate to others. Mercury in Aquarius strong: They think in a clear and independent manner. They enjoy conversation and are good listeners. Mars in Leo strong (1 in 321): They put a great deal of energy into romance, creating and producing children. Aries, Gemini weak: These types enjoy lots of freedom. For Aries and Gemini, parenting could be seen as burdon restricting their freedom and preventing them from pursuing their goals. Frequent Venus aspects: They highly value relationships with others and enjoy surrounding themselves with many people. They are also very skilled at creating and preserving harmonious relations. Frequent Venus-Saturn aspects (1 in 392): Saturn represents parenthood and its contact with Venus causes these individuals to enjoy this role. This aspect also causes them to be very careful about choosing a partner. They prefer stability and predictability in relationships, perfect conditions for having lots of children. Frequent Jupiter-Chiron aspects (1 in 647): They are uncomfortable with traveling and don t like to be on the move, pursuing freedom.
