JORC Cde, 2012 Editin Table 1 Reprt f Explratin Results fr Waihi Operatins Sectin 1 Sampling Techniques Data (Criteria in this sectin apply t all succeeding sectins.) Criteria Sampling techniques Drilling techniques Drill sample recvery All explratin at Waihi is by diamnd cre drilling frm surface r undergrund platfrms. There have been many years f explratin at Waihi which demnstrates the value f cre drilling methds ver percussin sampling as an explratin tl. Drilling cnditins are well understd. Triple tube cring is rutinely used t ensure that cre recvery is acceptable. Cre samples are prcessed using industry stard practices f drying, crushing, splitting pulverisatin at the SGS Waihi r SGS Westprt Labratry. SGS are an internatinally accredited glbal analytical services prvider with strng internal gvernance stards a reputatin t uphld. All diamnd drill hles were drilled by triple tube wireline methds. Surface hles are cllared using large-diameter PQ cre, bth as a means f imprving cre recvery t prvide an pprtunity t case ff reduce diameter when drilling thrugh brken grund histric stpes. Drill hle diameter is usually reduced t HQ at the base f the pst-mineral stratigraphy. Undergrund drill hles were cllared in HQ. All drill cre was rutinely riented belw the base f the pst-mineral stratigraphy, either by plasticine imprint r using the Ezimark, Reflex r TruCre cre rientatin tl. Cre recveries were measured after each drill run, cmparing length f cre recvered vs. drill depth. Cre recveries were generally better than 95%. There is n relatinship between cre recvery grade. Lgging The cre samples are all gelgically getechnically lgged, using a lgging scheme that has been in place fr many years. The level f detail captured in lgging is sufficient t supprt apprpriate Mineral Resurce estimatin. Lgged intervals are based n gelgical bundaries r assigned a nminal length f ne r tw metres. The gelgical lg incrprates getechnical parameters, lithlgy, weathering, alteratin veining. Gelgical lgging is based n bth qualitative identificatin f gelgical characteristics, semi-quantitative estimates f mineral abundance. Getechnical lgging uses stard semi-quantitative definitins fr estimating rck strength fracture density. A digital phtgraphic recrd is maintained fr all drill cre. All cre phtgraphs are stred n the Waihi server. Electrnic Gelgical lgs are created using a Micrsft Excel lgging template n laptp cmputers. Previus lgging by Newmnt used prprietary Visual Lgger sftware. Lgging is validated using inbuilt validatin tables fr all recent drilling has been checked fr cnsistency thrughut the histry f the prject. All gelgical lgging data is stred in an acquire database. Subsampling techniques Diamnd sawn half cre splits. Fr explratin samples these range in weight between 3.5 4kg. Split line in cnsistent rientatin with respect t rientatin marks. 1

sample preparatin Quality f assay data labratry tests Verificatin f sampling assaying Sample preparatin (drying, crushing, splitting pulverising) is carried ut by SGS using industry stard prtcls: Kiln dried at 105 deg C Crushed t sub 2mm Riffle split 800g sub-sample 800 g pulverised t 90% passing 75um, mnitred by sieving. Aliqut selectin frm pulp packet All explratin samples are assayed fr gld by 30g Fire Assay with AAS finish. Multi-element ICP data is btained rutinely frm the Waihi SGS Labratry fr all explratin assay samples fr the elements silver, cpper, arsenic, lead, zinc antimny, which are ptential pathfinders fr epithermal mineralisatin. Fr samples with ver-range silver lead, these elements are fund t be extracted mre efficiently by using a mre dilute Aqua Regia digest (1-gram sample weight rather than the stard 10-gram per 50 ml). Quality f explratin assay results has been mnitred in the fllwing areas: Sample preparatin at the SGS Waihi Westprt labs thrugh sieving f jaw crush pulp prducts, Mnitring f assay precisin thrugh rutine generatin f duplicate samples frm a secnd split f the jaw crush calculatin f the fundamental errr. Mnitring f accuracy f the primary SGS assay ALS results thrugh insertin Certified Reference Materials (CRM s) blanks int sample batches. Blank CRM results are reviewed n a weekly basis. The Waihi prtcl requires Certified Reference Material (CRMs) t be reprted t within 2 Stard Deviatins f the Certified Value. The criterin fr preparatin duplicates is that they have a relative difference (R-R1/mean RR1) f n greater than 10%. The criterin fr blanks is that they d nt exceed mre than 4 times the lwer detectin methd f the assay methd. Failure f any f these threshlds triggers investigatin. In additin t rutine quality cntrl prcedures, a prgram f umpire assaying has been carried ut. Recently, 248 samples frm the Crrens Prject were re-assayed at Ultratrace Labratries in Perth. Ultratrace gld assays were cnsistent with riginal SGS assay results shwed n material bias in the primary SGS analytical prcess. A limited number f twinned hles were cmpleted during the initial investigatins f the Crrens prject. These indicate that there is shrt range variability present in gld mineralisatin. There are strng visual indicatrs at Waihi fr high grade mineralisatin bserved bth in drill cre in undergrund develpment. All assay data is stred in the database in an as received basis with n adjustment made t the returned data 2

Lcatin f data pints Data spacing distributin Orientatin f data in relatin t gelgical structure Sample security Audits r reviews All histric mine data was recrded in terms f Mt Eden Old Cadastral grid. This is the grid utilised fr all undergrund explratin activity within 3km f the Waihi Mine beynd which New Zeal Map Grid is utilised. A lcal mine grid Martha Mine Grid, riented perpendicular t the main veins derived frm Mt Eden Old Cadastral is used within the Open pit peratins. The Mine Grid rigin is based at N.7 Shaft (1700mE, 1600mN). The grid is rtated 23.98 west f Mt Eden Old Cadastral Nrth. Relative level (RL) calculated as Sea Level + 1000m. The rigin fr tpgraphic cntrl is prvided by Old Cadastral Mt Eden Crdinates available frm cadastral survey marks in Seddn Street near the entrance t the ld undergrund mine. The riginal undergrund Martha mine was mapped in terms f these crdinates. All mine reference survey pints are established by a Registered Prfessinal L Surveyr frm Gvernment Trig Statins r gedetic marks. Fr the undergrund mine, a transfrmatin is used t cnvert all data t NZGD2000 as per the regulatins fr the purpse f all statutry undergrund plans. Checks shw that all undergrund crdinates are within the allwed 1:5000. The drill spacing required t supprt different levels f classificatin is different fr each prject area. Gelgical knwledge f the Martha system has increased ver time allwing mre cnfident interpretatin f vein cntinuity. The decisin abut apprpriate drill spacing differs fr each depsit/vein, takes int accunt gelgical cmplexity, vein gemetry thickness as well as grade cntinuity. Recnciliatin frm crrelative veins with a recnciliatin histry is used t guide the decisin balancing drill spacing with classificatin fr new vein depsits. N cmpsiting f samples is applied prir t assay. Drill hles are designed t intersect knwn mineralised features in a nminally perpendicular rientatin as much as is practicable given the availability f drilling platfrms. All drill cre is riented t assist with interpretatin f mineralisatin structure. Samples intervals are selected based upn bserved gelgical features. Access t site is cntrlled; Drill cre is stred with secure facilities n site. Site emplyees transprt samples t the analytical lab. The labratry cmpund is secured. N audits r reviews f sampling techniques data have been perfrmed. 3

Sectin 2 Reprting f Explratin Results (Criteria listed in the preceding sectin als apply t this sectin.) Criteria Mineral tenement l tenure status The mineralisatin ccurs n granted permits Mining Permit 41808 Explratin Permits 40767, 51771 40598. The Favna Mining Permit 41 808 (MP 41 808) was granted in March 2004, under the prvisins f the Crwn Minerals Act 1991, fr a duratin f 25 years. An Extensin f L t Favna MP 41 808 was granted in March 2006. The permit cvers an area f 1485.38 hectares cvers the Crrens Undergrund Mine Martha Open Pit mine. On MP 41808 the higher f a 1.0% ryalty n net sales revenue frm gld silver r 5% accunting prfits is payable t the Crwn. EP 51771 is subject t a 1% Net Smelter Return ryalty payable t Newmnt Mining Crpratin t a cap f 300,000z gld. EP 40767 is subject t a 2% ryalty payable t BCKP Ltd (acquired frm Geinfrmatics) with respect t certain target areas. Figure 1: Waihi Tenement Map 4

Explratin dne by ther parties Waihi Gld Cmpany has held explratin mining licences permits ver the Open Pit prtin f the Martha depsit the Favna Tri depsits since the early 1980 s. The Waihi East area cvering the Crrens depsit easterly extensins f the Martha system was histrically held explred by Amc Minerals, Cyprus Minerals a Ceur Gld-Viking Mining JV frm whm Waihi Gld Cmpany purchased the permit area, EP40428, in 1998 fr a cash settlement a 2.5% ryalty n the value f any mineral r metal prduced frm the prperty as utlined n the fllwing map. OceanaGld has brught ut this ryalty thereby terminating the agreement with a ttal release frm the ryalty frm April 1 st 2016. These cmpanies drilled apprximately 18km in 60 hles in the Waihi East area by which they identified sme remnant resurces n the eastern end f the Martha vein system n which they undertk scping studies. Gelgy The Waihi depsits display features that are typical f epithermal gld depsits which include: Gld-silver mineralisatin is hsted in lcalized bs within multiphase quartz veins. There is an assciatin f sphalerite, galena chalcpyrite with gld-silver mineralisatin thrughut the Waihi depsits, especially at Crrens. Parts f the Crrens depsit twards the base are base metal rich with galena (up t +3% Pb) sphalerite (up t +1% Zn); Hst esitic vlcanics at Waihi have undergne pervasive hydrthermal alteratin, ften with cmplete replacement f primary mineralgy. Characteristic alteratin assemblages include quartz, albite, adularia, carbnate, pyrite, illite, chlrite, interlayered illite-smectite chlritesmectite clays extending ver tens f metres laterally frm majr veins. There is als an assciatin at Waihi f quartz + interlayered chlritesmectite (crrensite) + chlrite, prducing a distinctive pale green cluratin. Mineralizatin is structurally cntrlled. Drill hle Infrmatin Data aggregatin methds Relatinship between mineralisatin widths intercept lengths See Tables 1 2 in the annuncement, which lists fr each hle with a significant intercept, the hle ID, interceptin depth, dwnhle length estimated true width f the intercept. Explratin results are reprted within distinct gelgical bundaries, typically within veins. The grades are cmpiled using length weighting with n tp cutting. Drill intercepts are reprted as dwn hle length alng with an estimated true width based n intercept angle t the mineralised veins. Intercepts where a true width cannt be determined are anntated by an * in the tables. As much as practicable hles are designed t intersect veins at mre than 60 degrees t the vein. Diagrams Refer t figures tables in the bdy f the release using the link in this press release t OGC s website. Balanced reprting The Waihi drill hle infrmatin is available frm www.ceanagld.cm. 5

Other substantive explratin data Explratin drilling is cntinuing thrughut the Waihi Epithermal Vein camp n MP 41808, EP 51771 EP 40767. Further wrk Current drill prgrammes in the Waihi Camp are planned t cmplete 51.5km s f diamnd drilling fr the calendar year 2018. Since the Nvember 2017 update 17,290m f drilling has been cmpleted, including 9,191m in Q1 this year. This drilling cmprises infill n knwn vein systems (~95%), with the balance t step ut n knwn veins explratin in areas adjacent t knwn mineralisatin. 6
