EXHIBITIONS UNTIL JANUARY 6 2019 QUANTUM: THE EXHIBITION NEW EYES ON THE UNIVERSE Learn about the future of the science that brought you neon lights, lasers, MRI scanners and GPS tracking. With captivating research stories, engaging multi-level interactives, games and videos, QUANTUM: The Exhibition makes core quantum concepts from superposition to entanglement accessible to students of all ages. CURRICULUM CONNECTION Revolutions in Modern Physics: Quantum Mechanics and Special Relativity (Physics 12) Quantum was created by the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. Located two kilometres below the Earth s surface, the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory lab (SNOLAB ) is an underground research facility specializing in neutrino and dark matter physics. New Eyes on the Universe takes students on a virtual tour of SNOLAB to see some of the exciting research happening in our province that s providing new insights and pushing frontiers in particle astrophysics. Astronomy (Science of the Universe) (Earth and Space Science 12) Gravitational, Electric and Magnetic Fields (Physics 12) Revolutions in Modern Physics: Quantum Mechanics and Special Relativity (Physics 12) New Eyes on the Universe is owned by SNOLAB and tour managed by Science North.
