State Superintendent's Student Advisory Council ZF Grant We are thrilled to announce that James Bennett and Kevin Rochester were selected to State School Superintendent Richard Wood's Student Advisory Council. James and Kevin will represent not only NHMS, but also our school district and Pioneer RESA. They will meet with Superintendent Woods to discuss the impact of state policies in the classroom. Members of the Student Advisory Council will also discuss other issues related to education, serve as the Superintendent s ambassadors to their respective schools, and participate in service projects to benefit schools and students. Congratulations James and Kevin! Mrs. Nash and Mr. DeVito recently applied for and were awarded a ZF STEM grant as part of the 30th Anniversary Celebration of ZF's Gainesville facility. We will use the grant funds to purchase 12 new Sphero SPRK+ devices and accessories. The Spheros will help us design competitions, activities, and lessons that challenge students to problem-solve through coding and engineering. If you have friends or family members who work for ZF, please let them know how much we appreciate them! Parents: Thank You! Thank you, ZF! Parents, many of you have already volunteered your time to help with various needs around NHMS. You have sold ice cream during lunch, helped with picture day, assisted with organizational needs in the Learning Commons, organized and distributed the E2 t-shirt order, and more! Please know how much we appreciate all of your help. Thanks again!
