STRENGTHS Restorative: Whenever there is an issue I always know that there is another approach to the situation or a way of fixing it. This makes me an amazing candidate because it gives you the assurance that if something was to ever go wrong I would have the strength and endurance to proactively discovering new processes to rectify the circumstances. Responsibility: Positions of power require a willingness to accept the good and bad of any circumstance and rise above them. This position not only depends on the work and effort I put in that that of delegates as well. To be able to hold myself and others accountable shows a great deal of responsibility and provides a true asset to this position. Input: I am always striving to know more in hopes of mastering whatever is at hand. I also know that knowledge is power and as I gain it, it is not for keep to myself but to be shared with others in order for them to become more valuable along side me. This is crucial for this position because the conferences that we will attend require collective efforts and sharing knowledge for this to run smoothly. Futuristic: When it comes to conferences you have to be ahead of the game. There is a lot that goes into participating in conferences and a lot of planning ahead of time. The fact that I am futuristic better suits me for the position because I know that I am capable of thinking ahead when necessary. Developer: The main purpose of leadership conferences are to give leaders tools to become more effective leaders. Me being a developer is an asset to this position because I know that I am open to share any knowledge or wisdom I have to those who have the urge to learn. I know that I do not know everything but my purpose in this position is to pass on the knowledge that I have gained from my experience to following RHA leaders.
G O A L S Implement tools from conferences on Campus: Delegates can be tasked with putting on a program with any organization or group they are affiliated with using the information they have gained from the conferences. Provide the most charisma at Conferences: While representing Texas Tech at Conference I want the future delegations to exceed the charisma and school spirit of any other in recognition of your outstanding contribution time, and cherish being her because, of course, we all do. dedication, and expertise to the 2018 World Humanitarian Report. school. I want Texas Tech to be seen as the school of student who love Connect more with other schools in our region: As a regional representative I want to bridge the gap in information between universities in our region. There are many Your help has given countless people around the world students who want to put on a program but do not know exactly what program a voice they - the want one to do. thing I want they to be need able most. to make a resource of ideas that CA s, RHA members, and SWACURH delegates can utilize to help them form program, because other schools have other focuses that we as a campus may not think of. Focus more towards Bids: This year I want to put more focus on bids, in the past there has been more focus on programs but Texas Tech has had a lot of good programs that could be pushed further into conferences. Widening the Audience: Partnering with other organizations on campus campus for certain programs can widen our audience and get more residents to recognize RHA. September 29, 2017 To Whom It May Concern: This letter is to recommend that Daji Free be considered for the vacant Vice President appointment for the Residence Hall Association (RHA). I met Daji through her involvement as a member of the AVID First Year Experience Program at Texas Tech University, and from the moment I met this young lady she has been nothing short of amazing. She has always maintained a desire to cultivate leadership and has displayed a committed and tireless work ethic in her course work as a student, and in her professional development as the Secretary of Collegiate 100, in her volunteer work as a Coordinator for the Lubbock Divisional STEM Competition, and in her role as a Camp Counselor for IDEAL Summer Camps, to name a few. She is a dependable hard working young woman who takes pride in giving her best to whatever task she has taken on. I have witnessed her commitment and dedication through her educational pursuits, her service to the community and university, and in her mentorship to other youth in Lubbock, Texas. It is my belief that the Residence Hall Association is one of the most attractive and intentional organizations dedicated to promoting leadership. The opportunity to add someone of Daji s caliber of persistence, determination, and diversity is exactly what is needed to represent RHA to outside entities. There is no doubt that Daji is prepared to meet the expectations and responsibilities set forth as a selected candidate for the vacant Vice President appointment. Her background and educational successes are conducive for the standards that must be maintained as a representative for the Residents Hall Association. Daji is very active and innovative in volunteer work; she has spear headed a number of charitable projects including the growth of the Mane Society at Texas Tech University. Daji is a people oriented person who can relate successfully with people of different cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. Through her academic and social background she has obtained many qualities to be found helpful in connecting, and adapting to the unknown, such as: critical thinking skills, organizational skills, management skills, teamwork skills, leadership skills, self-control, determination and commitment to name a few. Any minority student who possesses the above-mentioned skills is an asset in a competitive and diverse world, and it is my recommendation that Daji Free be considered for the vacant Vice President appointment for the Residence Hall Association, for the benefit of her personal and educational growth, and for the benefit of an organization of your caliber.
