Sri Chaitanya IIT Academy-India JEE-ADVANCED-2018 REPORT BY:M. UMA SANKAR National IIT Co-Ordinator JEE (Advanced) 2018Question Paper Analysis: JEE (advanced) 2018 had two Papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2, each containing three parts, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each part in each paper had 18 questions each. In Paper-1, each part had three sections, first being 6 one or more than one correct answer Type for 4 marks each and -2 for wrong answers, partial marks +1 darkening a bubble corresponding to each correct option provided NO incorrect option is darkened. Second section contains 8 numerical value type questions, for correct answer +3 without negative marks. And third section contains 2 paragraph questions with +3 marks for correct answer and -1for wrong answer. For each subject the question paper is set for a total of 60 marks. And for all subjects together a grand total of 180 marks. Paper-1 Paper is good. Only real worthy students do it well. Relatively Maths paper is easy which fetches AP and TS students only. Attempting all the questions take time and those who are trying them, must loose marks. But it is difficult for a common student for attempting all the questions in the given time. In Paper-2, each part had three sections: first being 6 one or more than one correct answer Type for 4 marks each and -2 for wrong answers, partial marks +1 darkening a bubble corresponding to each correct option provided NO incorrect option is darkened. Section-2 was with 8 numerical value type questions, for correct answer +3 without negative marks. Section-3 was With 4 matching type questions for correct answer +3 marks and for wrongly attempted question -1 marks will be awarded. For each subject the question paper is set for a total of 60 marks. And for all subjects together a grand total of 180marks. Finally jee-advanced-2018 was conducted for 360 marks. Again Paper-2 In Physics some questions are little bit tough & certain Question consume more time relatively, testing the conceptual clarity of the students. Due to negative marking students may face the difficulty. All the questions are framed within the syllabus. In chemistry all the questions are testing concepts. Students with thorough knowledge only can answer those Questions. Most of them are multi conceptual, especially in physical chemistry. Question in inorganic chemistry are Moderate & Organic Chemistry are easy. Paper is good. Only real worthy students can do it well. Relatively Maths paper is easy when compared with physics and chemistry. Two Questions in MATHS are Lengthy, Which will fetches AP and TS students only. Attempting all the questions take time and those who are trying, must loose marks. But it is very difficult for a common student for attempting all the questions in the given time. After long time IIT PAPER SETTERS have done a nice job.
